You know, there's an old saying, "there's no such thing as bad press"

Wouldn't it be a kick in the teeth if subs actually went up in the longer term because of all the press.

I know in my own case I largely ignored EVE until I read about all the Dev scandals regarding BPO trading and that led me to ultimately try and pay for 3 subs (up to 4 now)

Yes there is such a thing as bad press, especially in this case because it could put future players off if they remember the game as being a rip off and a laughing stock.

Would you buy a car or a TV or just about any other consumer product or service if you saw dozens of articles and news stories about how terrible they where?

Of course some people do but they also eat crayons and lick windows.
