I was actually looking at buying it yesterday and play.com had it for £17.99 and amazon £14.99, but neither had the collectors edition, so i set the trial downloading this morning.
I've always wondered about the price differance between EU prices and US prices. Do you think it is due to the differant amount of taxes in Europe? It would seem logical that companies would price thier products in such a way that they recieve the same amount of money after taxes and fees etc no matter which area the product is purchased from.

Yes there are higher taxes in EU here in sweden its 25%, on electronics things like games at least.
They like to lazy convert 1 dollar = 1 euro eventhough the euro is now almost worth 50% more so they went 19,99 + 25% = 24,99 then flip the dollar sign around to a euro sign, done!
£8.49 for regular, £9.99 for CE without free month from trial.
And think its something like £17.49 and £19.99 CE with free month. And yeh, there's a big ass tax on luxury items. In the UK, it's amazing how many times you get taxed on the same thing over and over when you break it down.

Works out perfectly
To bad you can't buy US from EU since it's effectively costs 36 dollars here (same link).

Getting cheaper every day and it's even cheaper on ebay. But to be honest, it wasn't worth the 49,99€ (at that time about 68$) they wanted.
I will get it once it hits the 9,99€ mark.
Thats cool, i thought it was pretty stupid to offer the game for 19.99 without the first month.
