    About time!

Only took almost 10 years for the next smart Developer in the western market to go for a 3 faction PvP game after the success of DAoC.

I hope we can live up to the excitement :)

DaoC is the game that introduced me to MMORPGs, and I really hope this can recapture that magic!

    Here's hoping :)

Also very nice seeing Sanya again.

I am not even good in pvp but still I am looking forward to this game :)

A scifi title is badly needed, so is a 3 factions pvp mode with hopefully sieges and all!

This game does sound very interesting.  Should be one to watch!

Never played DAoC but as a big fan of Planetside and Tabula Rasa I have to say that Prime looks excellent so far.  Let's see if PBG can actually pull it off though.

Very interesting indeed.  Thanks for the forums here.  Could this be the mmo that I've been griping that didn't exist, in a more robust fashion, since DAoC?  Then to watch Tabula Rasa crash and burn, only to continue on my continued personal quest in search of?  We'll see.

    Notables:

    - Three playable factions to choose from.

    - Seven important professions contribute to player progression and a robust in-game economy.

    - As your character advances and becomes more powerful he will venture into the fray and take on challenges where the other factions are the ultimate opponent.

    - World battles such as the ones that take place on Dominus pit faction against faction on a large scale.

    - Eleven Worlds with over twenty-five large, open areas to explore.

    - Become a famous (or infamous) Bounty Hunter, or gain renown by surviving with incredible bounties placed on your head.

    - Dynamic real-time events controlled by real people happen regularly to advance the overall story.

Okay.  Consider this book-marked for the meantime.

This game looks and sounds really interesting, I'll definitely keep an eye on it. Sci-Fi and 3 Faction PvP? Awesome!

Why is there always so much emphasis on DAOC's 3 realm pvp as opposed to DAOC's pvp gameplay mechanics? It seems to me that what made DAOC pvp great wasn't mostly the 3 realms. It was the gameplay mechanics.

What if Warhammer had 3 realms? Would still have sucked hard. Same with every other sucky pvp mmo you can think of. 3 realms won't fix sucky. It's the gameplay mechanics.

    EDIT:

Oh and don't get me wrong. I like the 3 realm aspect. But it's just so much less responsible for "good pvp" when compared to gameplay mechanics.

Yeah!!!!! anything that has some legit claim to somehow relate to DOAC is a buy for me!

Going to be keeping an eye on this one for certain...

Not the A-typical MMO release.... the standard fare themepark... or a sandbox, that as Sanya says, lets you eat your young  ; )

    Thankfully

As long as it's not a huge grind to level cap before the PvP gets really fun like in DAoC, I'll give it a go.  I loved DAoC, but at the same time hated it 'cause I just didn't like to grind out the levels and couldn't stay interested long enough to get to cap and truly experience the game.

There will be a grind before you get to fun PVP. I don't know if you'll consider it to be huge. XP comes quick in DAOC now, and even quicker if you can get PL'ed or have friends, but if you have to do it all solo, it'll probably seem pretty slow.

    EDIT:

Whoops, I thought this was a LFG thread and someone suggested DAOC.
