I am a former Everquest Addict. About 3 months ago, someone asked me random video game questions and the entire Everquest experience ran through my brain. It was like an acid flashback or something similar.
Since then, I have not been able to get games out of my head. I have been obsessively looking at this site and thinking about getting into another MMORPG. I really want to download lineage 2 and do a castle siege on the weekend.
But I am about to graduate from college. I am 24 and I am looking for a job and dont need to fuck my life up. I dont know what to do but I want to play so badly. HELP ME please. I need advice on what do as I am not sophisticated enough to tell myself what to do.
Should I get a game, can I balance it into my life? Or should I never look at this site again?

Get a "casual" mmorpg where you don't have to play non stop to get better. Lineage 2 is NOT your choice. It is a grind tougher then Everquest. I would personally suggest Anarchy Online, World of Warcraft or EVE Online. Especially WoW and EVE have mild grinds. As in EVE you can "level up" when being offline, and in WoW getting experience is a lot faster and you can get a significant amount of experience within even 2 hours.
Have fun, good luck, play safe.
I'm in a similar situation as you, I wasn't really an addict but I just felt compelled I needed a MMORPG when I should really cut down on gaming time as I want to join a militaristic education next year and don't want to ruin my eyes any further then they are now. WoW is that MMORPG. I can easily jerk myself off when I should stop playing, but when I'm playing I'm having fun.
Lol..
Besides that, if you love games, game. Its like letting the fat kid eat cake, jus dont leave him alone with a 30 serving cake
Get a "casual" game, n make sure you have a clock beside you so you dont stay up all night. I suggest WoW. You can be on for 10 min n already get into the game, by the time youve been on for 20 min, youve already got something accomplished. If WoW doesnt interest you, find something that does, jus MAKE SURE you have a clock beside you so you dont lose track of time.
"Lol.."
Well, I can.
