So lately I've been having a hard time getting into some mmos. I played rift to 35 and got bored due to its linearity. I played Vanguard a bit again (with my 45 free days) and played about 20 or more hours then got irritated that of the 10 dungeons I could do there was not a single person willing to do them due to the low population. I loaded up EQ2 and couldnt stand how that looked or played. And Im never going back to WoW.
I started looking around at what MMO's there were (including those I've played before) and due to my increased processing power (due to fixing my desktop ) I've started looking for games that can use this power. So I've been staying away from things like AO, DAOC, and the like and have been focusing on newer games.
It seems that of the MMOs I've seen I have been wanting more of a sandboxy game, or rather less theme park than WoW or Rift.
I've somewhat settled onto either Fallen Earth (tried before and something felt odd, but it seems there were a few updates between then and now) and Perpetuum (also had a few updates). So I was wondering which would be better to go back to and play? I never got past the trial on FE and played Perpetuum before the trial became available.
I'm also open to suggestions.
I liked the housing idea in VG but it seemed pointless. (I like DFO's housing more, but the fact that there might be a wipe, and the difficulty of catching up to macrors leaves that out of the running).
Edit: Highlighted the potential choices.

From what I hear perpetuum's population has dwindled quite low whereas Fallen Earth will more than likely gain thousands of players when it switches to f2p, so if population matters to you I would go for FE.
