It's like, once upon a time, a  developer sat down and thought...

Heart: "Hey - this game need more features!"

Head: "Oh, come on!..."

Heart: "How's about people not having to play as a freagin' human?"

Head: "D'you mean races?"

Heart: "Yeah! - It'll be kinda cool! We could'ave Orcs, Elves, Dwarves.."

Head: "S'pose..."

Heart: "Eight legged spider people, Colonies of Ants, Morphing Men, Treants, Wisps...

Head: "*Interuption* Woa! Let's just try out the first three..."

Heart: "But..."

Head: *Interuption* "Dave, get get your arty pals to model humans with bigger or puny muscles, mess with the high, colour 'em diffrent, do what you guys do best. So long as it doesn't mess with my my gear mechanics!..."

Heart: *Sigh*

It's turned into some sort of brainstroming retual. Yet another of are strenghts flawing. We say are precious MMO's have so and so amount of UNIQUE races but the truth is that it's just the same race, us humans, that have been malfunctionally cloned. The most orriginal race i've seen is probably the Gibberlings from Allods Online, which isn't that amazing apart from the fact that there are three of you :P, and the laziest being vampires from Forsaken World.

But, you know what, I'm not blaming anyone, it's part of are human nature; we're just to lazy. We get some brilliant, unique, idea but we cut it short because it doesn't fit with what we currentlly have instead of ulterring it to fit with the idea.In this particular case, it's the fact that gear simply will not fit on anything that isn't based around a humanoid. For example, something with more that two pair of legs won't be able to wear "Pants of Intercept Warrior".

So, the solution. I'm accually clueless on this one but, hey, one hundred plus heads are bigger than one. I was thinking about that having there own set of gear, even thuogh that's asking alot, or, better still, let them wear parts of the gear rtjhst they can wear.
