Rank your top 5 current MMORPGs

in LFGame

If you were to play MMORPGs, which are your top 5 choices of current MMOs? (no UO, Asheron's Call, etc.)

Example list:

1. Age of Conan

2. Everquest

3. Lord of the Rings Online

4. World of Warcraft

5. Rift

 

So by this list, Age of Conan would be my most preferred MMO to play right now with Everquest being second and so on.

What is your list?

(this isn't my list, but an example)

    Asheron's Call and UO both still have a decent enough player base to be included. 

    5. Ryzom / Vanguard / Achaea tie for 5th place

    4. DAOC

    3. EQ1 on Fippy Darkpaw only (community is about 50% good and 50% terrible. I'd be playing this now if it weren't for the 50% terrible and lack of end game content)

    2. Eve (for both vets and newbies alike)

    1. None

    I'm still waiting for a game like Elderlands that has 8v8 PVP DAOC style in 2d top down isometric format.

    Age of empire even though its not an MMORPG.  I love this game.

    I'm trying to get an idea on what people think are the best newer MMORPGs.  I don't want to play a game that is that old.

    Your not gonna find some "hidden gem", the games you listed are pretty much the modern era games.  If you have played those and are not interested, your just gonna have to wait.

    Eesh.. okay... eh..

     

    1) Fallen Earth

    2) Global Agenda

    3)City of Heroes/Villains

    4) Vanguard

    5)  I'd probably end up going with Warhammer, or AoC, or Guild Wars, or WoW.   Good, somewhat traditional fantasy games.

    all old game is #1 than nowadays.  Example:  Asheron's Call, Everquest 2, UO etc....

     

    WHY?

     

    They are unique... not copy and paste nowadays with holding hands, dumbed down icon above thier head, repetetive daily quest. etc....

    Then make a thread in the LFG section describing what kind of game you want to play, instead of disguising a question about making a list for your secret motives. 

    Those older games you don't want to play simply because they are old are oftentimes better than the new ones. I couldn't recommend most of the newer games and feel good about myself.

    Yea, I'm not sure I understand why you want me to rate for you to find games.  LFG works very well.  And to be honest, the older games tend to be the better games (as previously mentioned).

    1)  UO (still releasing expansions)

    2)  AC

    3)  EQ (again, still releasing expansions)

    4) Vanilla WoW

    5) Pre-NGE SWG

    1)  Guild Wars 2

    2)  The Secret World

    3)  Tera

    4)  Archeage

    5)  Rift

    You didn't explicitly state they couldn't be in alpha/beta.

    Currently not playing any MMORPGs because all of them suck. But if I WOULD be subbed...

     

    1) Fallen Earth (I'd probably play it if they wouldn't move to Pay2Win)

    2) World of Warcraft

    3) uhmm.... WAR if it still exists

    4) Xsyon

    5) ahh.... hmmm.... pffff.... something else. Bloodymare Requiem, or that Rome thing, or Rift, or I don't know. Or that space thing that got recently released, the slightly sandboxy one.

    Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)

    Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)

    Why no UO and AC and you put EQ as one of your favourite, since it is the same age as the former 2?

     

    Anyway my list of "modern" MMO is:

    1) Darkfall

    2) EVE

    3) vacant

    4) vacant

    5) vacant

     

    My favourites of all time are UO and EQ

    I also like WoW but I do not play it as a MMORPG, I consider it as a Multiplayer game not a real MMO (although technically it is)

    I played Sprial Knights just recently,  its really not that bad.

     

    Terraria isn't really an MMO,  but I guess its close enough.
