Looking for a new f2p mmo

thebigchin11thebigchin11 Member Posts: 519

Basically I am looking for something with reasonable character customization, preferably with a fashion tab, little grind, and fairly relaxed/ swift levelling that I can spend an hour or two on over an evening without feeling the need to waste hours on end just to keep pace.  Don't mind spending a bit of cash in cash shops.  Any ideas?

Cheers, but played it for a long time years ago.  Think I'll need to wait for GW2 before I return.

I'm having a lot fo fuin in Eden Eternal right now.  Leveling is pretty quick until the late 40s.  50 is currently the max level.

Graphics are anime styled, but they are crisp.

Sure, its an action mmorpg lilke tera will be, no target plate but you have a reticule like fps games you aim where you want to hit. It has combat better than dcuo with combos etc

You have your 1-10 spells but left mouse is mash the mob right mouse is a harder hitting move but you can get specialist versions for example if the mob is dizzy and you press special move you knock it to the ground.

PvP and PvE endgame with what seems to be a dungeon crawler style start lobby with home towns.  You start with one of  4 classes warrior, ranger, sorceress, cleric. But dont let that basic start fool you apparently as you grow theres up to 32 class varients for example a cleric can go priest of paladin etc.

I don't normly play F2P games but this one I think its pretty special, it tries to be different.

YES IT IS AVAILABLE IN EUROPE IM FED UP WITH PEOPLE TALKING BULL HERE IS LINKAGE http://dn.cherrycredits.com/

Open beta is in 10 days or so.

Here is a nice link of the first tier of advanced classes and combat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3l0yFo0k2A&feature=related

    Champion's has a decent f2p version.

like 6 classes to pick from, you can go from lvl 1-40 without paying a cent.  There are 3 Adventure packs you have to pay to use, but honestly they aren't that special. The new Mini Adventure Packs they released anyone can use.

You are restricted to one bag. (Can be an issue, unless you go to the store regularly.)

The f2p classes can be challenging, since you aren't able to mix and match the perfect hero, but fun.

All the social features, like guilds friends lists etc are available to free players. There is a restriction on chat until you've played 20 hours, but that is probably just to deter spammers.

I currently have a lvl 40 behemoth I run on elite difficutly with not much trouble. He's awesome, any game that lets you knock groups of bad guys through the air with a strong punch for free gets a *thumbsup* in my book.

I can recommend Lotro even if you may not be a fan of The Lord of the Rings.

The character customization is a bit low though.

  • thebigchin11thebigchin11 Member Posts: 519

re. LOTR- I find myself repeatedly saying, tried it, liked it but got bored, perhaps I just need a break from the genre.
