I "lol" at NPCs...

You've probably seen loads of posts about how NPCs suck more things than lollipops, but, hey, I wanna join in the fun!

Intro

The best way of discribing an NPC is "a stupid statue that adores watching you SUFFER!"; that preety much somes it all up to some noob who asks you. I mean, there are just ot much wrong with them.

They have no LIFE!

It's like they just stand there ordering players to do something that they could EASILY do. Some don't even MOVE. If I was just standing still in one position, not eating, not sleeping, not leveling, not working then I would quit else my legs would REALLY hurt. 

They aren't doing ANYTHING!

If, atleast, the blacksmith was hammaring at his anvil before calling on me to make rakes then maybe I would see their point. But no. Why don't YOU do it  if you're not doing anything in the first place? It could save you some money, gear, time, and could gain you some EXP. Handy in a globla economical downturn :P

They don't HELP you!

If you had to kill/collect x amount of x WITH an NPC then life would be easier. Prefebly, the NPC would be doing it already and if you offer your precious time to help, he would hive you some gold. Sort of quests in quests. That is a dream. Reality is that they WATCH you do it.

Last words

Arguably, you could state that it's all the same point but if an MMO accually conquered the "statue" then perhaps it could have a chance against WoW; highly unlikely thou. It would be interesting for I would almost immediatly give it a try.
