A couple questions

I know im probly going to get mocked for being a dumbass but still heres my question.

Im going to get a router to connect my secont computer to the internet, Will this slow my internet speed if both comps are on at the same time, My GF likes to DL music an stuff and I love playing games so while im playing if she is Surfing or whatever will it slow my connection speed enough to cause alot of game lag?image

If anyone flames you for asking a perfectly acceptable question ..its their problem, not yours.

To answer your question with my own knowledge ....no ..it shouldn't effect anything too much.  We have a router here with 4 computers hooked up to it on a cable connection and often have 3 of the computers playing EverQuest or another game at once.  Or one person playing a game and another person downloading stuff.  We never seem to notice any connection or bandwith problems ..or "lag" in game or anything like that.

Your system looks really good, I think you will be just fine!

It does obviously depend on your conenction though. You rarely use 1 Mb to thier full potentioal, which is why the slowdown is near unnoticeable, howver, if you use a slow connection, it will be more of a problem.
