well, I kinda accept that when i use a new service that offers options I will have to spend a few minutes setting those options upso they suit me.

I guess thats the nature of options.

I, as an example, don't get an extra log in screen when I boot my PC at all... in fact Steam dosent boot at all until I click the deask top icon that takes me right into my library.

But, on the subject of those pop ups... What pop ups? you are talking about the single one you get logging in?

Yes. I know I know, its not a big deal. I was pretty drunk when I made the original post.

But I'm not like you. I dont want to play around with a service. I want to pay my money and get into a game. No other stops along the way. I've become very spoiled by the modern online things Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, I can get what I want instantly, with no crap. Good thing I have lots of $.

    lol ok :)

I am still not sure why you consider Steam so fiddley though tbh... it's what? Three clicks to buy and DLa game... I use Amazon as well and don't feel put upon by Steam at all. I am not sure how easier they could have made it.

You only choose your options once at set up, after that it's very streamlined.

TBH, it just seems to me that maybe you have beccome entrenched in your opinion about Steam and now just refuse to see any good in it.

Ahh well, your loss. I would recommend the service to anyone that likes games, especially those that like indie games.
