If people like Slapshot did not exsist then there would be only fanboys saying " The patch was great, there are no bugs, this is the best game ever." and there would be alot of people buying the lies then the game and getting pissed off.
I would say we have about 25 minutes until a fanboy comes in and shouts "BUT SV COULD MAKE THE GAME BETTER WITH THE MONEY FROM THOSE PEOPLE!!!!"
I think the key point is to simply stay on topic and focus on the issues. Folks will come and try to shoot the messenger because they can't handle the message. I suppose it's human nature.
Anyhow, a customer was actually trying to discuss the GM issue on the official forums. The thread was not locked for trolling/flaming, but rather it was locked because it might later turn into one. So now they are omniscient too!!!
To everyone that just keeps ranting and ranting about the ingame support:
The people that are in the ingame support team do this job out of the goodness of their heart and for the game itself and the players that they want to help. Yes, they do play the game. Yes, they get shit for pay and yes, they can screw up as they're humans.
The alternative? Putting a bunch of students that couldn't care less about it in an office to handle customer support. I would rather have 2 dedicated gamers that willingly give up their spare time than have people like that helping me.
LOL. From the topic you just posted..
Seriously. I normally don't even type lol. Out of the goodness of their heart and the players that they want to help. Not the players that they don't want to help, obviously.
Yea, and goddamn students. We'll rather have two addicted fatsos that work for free (and you can see the quality they achieve) than someone who's obviously doing something with his life and has a minimum amount of ambition. If I was a PR instrument of an MMO COMPANY, I would definitely insult students at first, awesome idea. "People like that".
As to the whole GM accusing situation: they do the best they can. Rules within Starvault are bound to change however, as is the game. What once was legal can nowadays be illegal. Stop and think before you want to rant at the GM's: there have been made serious changes in regards to keep/house security with the introduction of Dawn so obviously those rules will have changed.
LOL at the first sentence, for a start. Another lol for telling your customers to "stop and think before you want to rant". Implying your customers aren't thinking is HIGHLY appreciated, isn't it..
"Obviously those rules will have changed." Obviously. It's everywhere on the website, isn't it? Let's check the rules thread.. nevermind can't find it. Can anyone?
With that said, I'm locking this thread as sooner rather than later this is going to turn into a troll/exploit/flame discussion.
Lock the whole forum for the same reason. People who care < 200.

What I found funny is the fact that they have students (interns) working on the actual game. One of them coded the weather system (which is why it rains indoors..). So I guess it's OK to have a student make your game but it would be bad to have one GM it...
Umm.. OK.

I'm a big fan of MO but I've taken some heavy blows lately. We had peeps logging out inside the CHAOS keep and asked a GM if this was right. Cause they kept on logging in, killing some of us, then log out again. We were told that this is possible inside keeps, but not in player houses. Ok. So that sucked major balls. Then we had a fight with AQ, they were hired by L, cause L was building a tower behind our keep. And everything went well, until AQ somehow got inside our keep and killed us. After what I've read here, and what has happened over at AQ keep, one must wonder how the same issue we brought to the GM gets looked upon differently when it comes to AQ. And how the hell did AQ get inside our keep? If it looks and smells like shit, it probably is shit. This has put a thorn in my MO-heart...
This is so sad. Why do you guys keep paying to play in shit? Due to promises that will never be fulfilled? I really can't find any sympathy for players that sponsor this steaming pile of crap, but yet complain. You play in shit it will always stink. good luck.
No, I am not going back, this is the same stuff that went down 5 months ago when my clan was a part of an attack. Walls were put up and it was discovered that the GM who was a member of the other clan was doing it. Nothing new here.
My main complaint is the GM's keep saying they are sorry but repay nothing. Any know how hard it is to get 50 dudes online at the same time and motivated, organized, armed and out the door for an attack? No way, my love for MO is gone and nothing will help it return. Fool me once, same on you. FOOL me twice......
This is for fun. let me finish that quote for you

Starvault has been a corrupt company soon after it's inception. They realised that it took money and talent to create their dreams. They had neither. They stole from their customers and now with the little online mod they got some players paying for it's their own little "Real World Sandbox" you the players are their tools. Enjoy.

yup, just another independent developer taking advantage of the fail-safe cash cow that is self-published niche-market subscription-based MMOs. You know, the easy money.

Honestly I don't think that's the case at all... I thnik henrik thought he had the experience to make a good game, and deluded by the fact his dad pulled all the strings for money, he allowed an incompetent kid to take on a project he has no business handling. The stuff that they did along the way that was unethical was because the game was falling apart, and being unethical is how henrick has managed to keep the game alive this long.
It just opens doors for people to promise the world to gamers and run off with their money. The market is clearly there to take advantage of.

I think Heriks actions are inherent and not just a result of MO failings. Look at his handling of GMs,blatant favoritism and hackers/exploiters for example.
