For those of you unaware with the situation with European players in EQ2 here is the lowdown.
On release Runnyeye was the assigned UK server, but SOE got so many players on it they removed the UK tag. Also because French and German servers had players frustrated at the badly translated text they moved to Runnyeye too. Since a lot of Americans didn't want to play with a load of other Americans they are on Runnyeye too.
Suffice to say Runnyeye is thee most crowded server. Now a week agao SOE said that people on Runnyeye can move to new server Splitpaw. This angered people on Faydark since they were told to move there to ease the load on Runnyeye. So everyone is /movelogging. But then SOE say that people on Faydark CAN move to Splitpaw and that actually if you are in a guild you don't /movelog otherwise the guild disbands.
So everyone is waiting for the new server and to /movelog. Finally today SOE are doing this and although it is about 4 days late and no guilds have moved it is a welcome relief. BUT there are still a bunch of annoyed people in guilds who can't /movelog because otherwise they loose guild points. The big danger is that guilds get stuck on the Runnyeye server. I do actually thing this will happen because they don't Splitpaw to become another heavily populated server and will block new requests.
To say this is a bit of a fiasco is an understatement. Runnyeye is actually bsaed in US and Splitpaw is based in Amsterdam. Now I've started a character on Splitpaw and the difference in load times is noticeable. Not just because of the location but because of the lower population.
SOE could introduce another European server, but I won't hold my breath!

The status points dilemma should have been fixed a long time ago, or so they said.
As it is now if you jump guild or decides to merge two guilds all the members of the disbanding guild loose all personal status. They said this was a bug a long time ago but hey, so as of now we are 4 ppl left in my guild, I have like 100k status points that I do not want to loose and we are just getting lonely rigth now.
Penalizing us for wanting to help clean up their mess???
Maybe one should just invest all them status points into heavy statuspoint-cost items and save what can be saved..

From my experience Euro players on US servers have had a big advantage. You get on during downtime hours so dungeons arent packed. And you get the benefit of a largely populated server... thus having a market with everything... and its cheap. Also end game info ussually comes from the larger servers very early.
Just my 2 cents~
At least you guys can transfer characters.
