How Can a US Resident Play Korean TERA?

I am sure I am not alone. I saw vids and stories and that awesome demo where they killed all those bosses, and I was psyched about TERA!!!

 

Now...

 

We wait with very little info.

 

I am just giving up and going to try to play the Korean version. Who knows how to accomplish this? I tried to ask before, but I got no answers. Anyone know?

 

 

 

Further reasons I am giving up waiting for the NA version -

Not a hint of when it will hit the US. I am 90% sure it will hit after SWTOR and 75% sure it will hit after GW2 (which I HOPE somehow magically sneaks out before SWTOR), so I probably won't be in a position to convince other people to play TERA at that time. The strength of the SW license and the level of polish Bioware is going to most likely launch with will make it very compelling to level out a character. 200 hours in an adult's life is a LOT of time. Not much CPU leisure time available outside of that.

You can't, you need a korean social security number for an account and a korean credit card for the subscription which has a korean billing address.

ok lets imagine you had a social security from korea and a credit card from korea

you probably still couldnt play,why?their network is vastly superior.

if i recall correctly they are in the 100 mb/sec range

so there no lag problem at all

here we couldnt play the game cause the game would lag a lot

and im not even mentioning the silly pipeline going under the ocean

that pipe  for data is locked to 5 mb/sec so again another lock

that is the reason why we re stuck with their old game here while they enjoy 21 century mmo

dont ask your internet provider to up it either be it wired or wireless cause even if you had 1gb/sec pipe the cap would prob be at a silly 100 gigabyte wired or 10 gigabyte for mobile

so anyway you look at it there is no way you ll enjoy what the korean enjoy!

Yeah, I just did the research and found that people commit ID theft to play Korean games... that's pretty stupid.

 

I will wait for Japan release on the 29th. They should have a less draconian way of limiting players.

wile what it's been said above it's somewhat true you don't actually need a Koran social security number to play this game. also the game is very playable even if you dont live in Korea, even if you wont have quite the same flawless preformance they do.

How can I play it without a KSSN? It is part of the Hangame registration process. There is a way to bypass it?

 

Again, I will not commit ID theft just to play a game
