Pre-Order Question

i put my $5 deposit down at my local GameStop (Canada), and they gave me a receipt. Where do I find the promotional code to enter on the SWTOR website.

I just became aware of the order you register your pre order is the order you will get access to the game.

SOmeone help?!?!?!

I suggest calling the gamestop you preordered from with this question.

But last I heard Canada wont be getting preorder codes till the end of this week.

I'm not sure about canada , but here in the states your preorder code is on the bottom of the reciept for it.

GameStop tends to be a bit slow when it comes to preorder codes for games. Friend of mine ordered his CE through them and there was no code on the recipt. He called them and they had no clue as to what he was talking about.

He canceled the PO through them and went with Gamestop.com instead. Got his code the next day via email. Why he didn't just go through Amazon is beyond me... people got their codes within seconds of ordering from them.

There are 3 types of people in the world.
1.) Those who make things happen
2.) Those who watch things happen
3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"

I don't understand people using Gamestop anymore.  Their website is atrocious, difficult to navigate, and doesn't have the info you WANT access to easily accessible.  You have to dig through their pages.

Similarly, the Brick and Mortar Gamestops are now basically used game stores.  They don't carry PC games at all anymore (out of the 10 in my area, 1 has a PC game stand still in store).  Useless, if I can't buy PC games there, why would I go in there to buy other games (let alone ones NOT on sale.. ever).

Having said that, look at the bottom of your reciept.  I KNOW that I've been seeing Canadian Gamestop pre-orders having consistent issues and would point you to the actual SWTOR forum.  They may be able to rectify the issue there about pre-order codes.  I know a couple of people contacted Bioware and had pre-order things resolved.
