I remember the last time I was in AC, the max level was 126 because it used a 32-bit XP system. You could only get 4.someodd billion XP then you couldn't level anymore.
Then later, even though I left the game for the last time, I still kept tabs on its development; they upgraded to 64-bit, so the max level became 275.
However, did they raise it again since then?
Besides, if they removed a cap entirely, extrapolating the extra amount of XP added to level to the next levels, what would the max level be?
What would the max XP be?
How many years would it take to reach that level, taking average playing time into account?
Warning: I could be on NoDoz caffeine pills so I hope I don't post anything outrageous!

Well I don't know anything about AC but the largest unsigned 64-bit value is 18,446,744,073,709,551,615
Compared to the largest unsigned 32-bit value 4,294,967,295 it's quite the jump.

The cap is still 275. The devs hinted they might increase it in the future.
I don't think the exact formula for leveling up is known. I know someone created a formula that matches it closely, but I can't find it. If you can find that you could determine the theoretical limit.
Irellevant. Level has -never- mattered in AC, since you can continue to raise your skills until they too are capped. Even at 126, you could continue to raise your skills until they reached the 4.-somethin billion cap, which has never changed.
