Asset Destruction turned off!

Since Dawn there has been a record number of mechanics turned off.  Was Dawn good for the game??  The newest thing turned off is a biggie.  And ofcourse people in the game are taking advantage of it.

default Construction in Contested Areas




Since the disabling of the destruction of assets in a previous hot-patch, people have been taking advantage of the situation by building houses within the palisade walls of their enemies, or in a clear contested area. Such actions from this point forward are considered exploitations and will be dealt with accordingly.



For those that have been planning to build a house, please ensure that you are not building within a contested area, and either get permission from the area owners, or any significant power within the region, or otherwise contact a GM to ensure that the spot you plan to build on is not considered a contested area.



For those that have started construction of a house within a contested area, the house will be demolished by a GM, and the house deed will be returned; no materials will be compensated. Repeated offenses will result in a ban to the account.

turning off asset destruction is like the worst thing the developers could ever do. People start taking advantage. Many is doing this. Ruin it for the game. Im actually thinking about unsubbing thanks for turning it off.

Is there a better way of doing things than turn off game mechanics??  Maybe fixing them in a timely order?  I doubt that will happen now there is no bug tracker.

    They do not have a bug tracker? You are pulling my leg. I hope it is true, since that would be hilarious!

    I want the game to do good, but damn, they really are fighting against that.

    This thread makes me sad.  I, as a developer, can never see myself turning off features.  If you introduce something new that breaks previously implemented features, you aren't testing your code sufficiently or you are a lazy programmer.  It pains me to see that the habits of early on have not changed with time. =(

    Contested area non-contested area please contact a GM hurr durr. What is a contested area? What is a non-contested area? Those features aren't even in the game, are they? Territory control doesn't exist. Those terms aren't defined, I doubt they appear in any written design except of a one liner by Henrik, "guilds can fight for territory lulz", how would a player know what the hell that is supposed to be?

     

    I bet when Mortal dies, Henrik's last posting will blame the programmers. And the players. :D

    Nope they got rid of the bug tracker.  You are now supposed to pm the bugs to the CM which makes no sense at all to me.  The CM was a player now CM now I guess bugtracker.

    Please send any claims of bugs over to me. Please attach ways of how to reproduce the bug as well, otherwise it's exceptionally hard to track them down in the code.

    Is it possible that these guys are not really developers? Could they be Con-Artists just preying  on  Sandbox, Full-Loot, PVP Community?

    :) Thought I was the only individual that really noticed that. I do visit their forums seeing that I got a $75.00 USD investment :)

    That word is probably used more often than LOL. I am sure someone  will take the time to prove me wrong or right. 

    The questions  are how can players actually defend this type of stuff? What does it say about us as gamers? Is this the future of gaming?
