 Another Goodbye.I've been playing since Open Beta. I've seen a lot. I was there for every major war, every keep siege. I've met lots of great people while playing (even my enemies) and I'm sad to be leaving. I truly hope I've made a good impression on all the people I've played with and against and that no one can say they hate me as a person (as a blood crazed killing machine is fine). I just can't handle the support staff anymore. (This isn't just about you guys Talwin and Black Opal, I'm sorry with what happened there but that was just one more straw on the camels back). I can honestly only think that the counselors go out of their way to be unhelpful and corrupt. Rules change overnight, they seem to enjoy frustrating the player base and certain groups of players seem to be on a completely different set of rules to others. I know some great helpful gm's and honestly I feel sorry for them because the work they do to improve the player experience is being ruined by the ones who honestly don't give a fuck. That's not to say bugs don't play a part in this also, I've been playing since open beta so I obviously know how to handle them but there are definitely a couple that still annoy me (failed, mages casting while running away when they double tap etc). They alone wouldn't have wanted to make me quit. Most of the problem here is with SV, I love you guys, I love your vision but I'm sorry I have to say this but development is coming along too slowly and when we get a 6 month patch like dawn we deserved a lot more than that. I know it's the best you can do with the resources you have but I'm sorry, it's not enough. Whatever people say about the community, Mortal has a great one and I enjoyed playing with you all. We have our share of trolls but most have a good heart. I can't think of a single enemy I haven't gotten along with once I've talked to them for a while and the friends I've made in this game are truly awesome. Spoiler for Community: That said from what I've seen the community is getting squeezed out of the forums and irc by restrictive rules and ban happy mods. Not to mention that trying to converse with any member of the "support" staff about it takes time and from what I have seen is in vain 90% of the time. The mod's remind me of an organization like the Vatican just trying to cover each others backs. I'll play out the rest of my subscription, so there is a chance the community + ingame mods can get their shit together and save SV a player and an advocator, but I truly don't expect to see that happen. It's been great guys, sorry it was ruined. See ya's. __________________ |

Are you saying no vets have left since the game released?
I personally hate goodbyes, but I gurantee you that many more have left without the farewell speech.
Star Vault has violated many basic business rules. The first one that I can recall is -
" When you steal from your customers you steal from yourself."
The others are too numerous to mention.

Hi there, i use to play this game way back when. I will probubly come back as an Archer. I'm looking to PvP eventually once i relearn all of the crafting and new game mechanics etc, but i also enjoy exploring and maybe alittle roleplay now and then is also entertaining. I am looking for an english speaking guild that has skype or ventrilo. Can't wait to get back in and experience all the new things in the game and to make new friends!
Hmm, looks like we've got players coming and going, pretty much like every other game out there.
Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.
My apologies, I should have also stated, that many more have subbed to the game. I stand corrected.

Hello all, I just wanted to take the time to say that I'll be taking a break from MO for a bit. I feel that with certain issues that have gone down recently MO is not fun anymore. While i had a few good fights, most of the ones I've been in have been ridiculously buggy (3/5 of them I die to invisible enemies) and it was making it very hard to enjoy the game. Certain other issues with the people I have been playing with have come up, which seems to have taken over the server etc. My main issue with these actions was that people brought real life problems into the game, which made me fairly uncomfortable.
While I've had a lot of fun playing with many of the people in SS i am also leaving that guild so that if/when i return to Mortal Online I may join some guild where past history will not be an issue.
If anybody in the MO community enjoys my company enough that they would enjoy playing a game of League of Legends or two with me (Don't worry Ellusivis baby, i'll still troll IRC for you

I personally love goodbyes it gives me real insight into what finally pushes good players and people over the edge and out of a game (as opposed to the mostly random troll posts I see in these forums).
he didnt leave the game, he resubbed from what i understand at the end of the month. Spiritwolf likely left due to people finally showing his guild that he is playing a full loot full pvp mmo with asset destruction. His city was sieiged yesterday and i guess that took his enjoyment away rather than trying to defend his own guild assets.

a ban from the forum and a ban from the game are to different things. he is simply using a different forum name called reynik since reynki is his character name.
giggles is taking a break which is understandable, but until his sub runs out i wouldnt actually say he has quit/. Seems to me like quite a few say they will quit then resub at the end of the month. Mas Altec, Bobzer, Cyde and many others including myself have done this before in more than just MO.
When i used to play eve i quit that game for around 5 months due to a lack of content near release, i was one of the first to fly a battleship ingame and with nothing other than pvp to satisfy my needs (a cruiser wa the toughest npc) the game became boring quickly especially after spending over a month 6 hours per day mining omber with a thorax to get the isk to buy a battleship.

for a long time now all ive ever seen on these fourms is people that keep randomly getting banned, Where they speak whats wrong with a game and get silenced. I checked SV's fourms also and noticed, you dont see much about any1's issues on the game. That alone tells me they are mass banning any1 with a issue with the game. Which is bad buisness and jsut another reason ill never buy n play that game is because of how the company handles their players, its unprofessional and well plain stupid. That game can never be saved.
i have as of yet never been banned from the forums, the game is a pvp centric game with asset destruction and guild wars, the majority of the bans are due to heated arguments which result in cries of cheater exploiter or simply trolling or feuds between rival guilds. Or direct attacks on the actual developers. I have never seen anyone get banned for simply expressing their concerns on the game in a constructive fashion.

Just because you did not see it does not mean it did not happen. Because the post that gets a person banned is deleted.
for someone who's username is "deathshroud" I find your vision of the game pretty "shrouded"
