Help with an assist command

I'm having a blast in the game so far. I really enjoy the mechanics of game play and graphics.

However, I ran into a problem last night in a rift.

I saw a rift in the distance and ran to it. There were tons of people fighting and I joined the public group.

In other MMO's I've played, it was easy to target a group member and then target what he was fighting.

For example: target the main tank, then type "/assist." If the tank is crowded by mobs you then could help him

by targetting what he was focusing on.

I typed in /help to get a list of commands. But, I did not see any command that might perform this function.

Anyone here that plays know of a function in the game that can help with this?

Enable "cast on target of target" option in the....drumroll....options menu.

Then simply target whatever party/raidmember you want to assist and all damaging and debuffing spells you cast will be cast on whomever he has targeted.

I'm not currently playing the game myself, but from what i've seen so far you may wanna check the boxes for

"show target's target"

and

"cast on target's target"

in the UI-options under "combat".#
