Dowloaded the client... Now what?

Greetings,

I've downloaded the client, but the only exe file I got in my downloaded folder checks for new updates. How do I start the actual game?

Anyone? I can't post in the official forums since I can't enter the game and create a character.

I download the client. I run the perpetuum.exe file. It checkes for updates, and it tells me no updates needed, and then nothing. Absolutly nothing. Besides the perpetuum.exe file I've got perpetuum.gbf, perpetuum.tmp, perpetuum_exereplace and uninstal in the directory to where I downloaded the client.

Can someone please help me out, or at least point me in another direction for help if no one here bothers to assist me.

Sorry about you trouble, but does the company have a support number or e-mail you can contact them by? I've never played the game, just trying to give you some ideas since your not getting a lot of help. If that doesn't work just keep looking through sites like these, you're on the right track. Good luck buddy!

You should be able to register an account on the forums without actually installing the game or send an email to a 'support' email address on the website.

It's obvious something isn't working, but it's hard to say what's misfiring. You're probably going to get a more informative response from the company or the people on the forums.

You should get the spalsh screen that does check to see if there are any updates .. once that is done you will get the login screen.  If that is not happening, you shoudl post on the Perpetuum forums in the bugs section I would think .. there is a Trial Forum there too, but I think that is more for questions about gameplay.

Once you do get online, do the tutorials.  I cannot explain how important it is to do ALL of the tutorial missions .. there are only about 9 of them but through them you really do learn how to play the game.  And getting the Arkhe Mk2 is worth it.

LOL, there's probably less than 25 regular posters on these forums who actively play Perpetuum, your odds of one of them seeing this post before it scrolls down the main page is small.  And the odds of them regularly reading this forum in a short time period even less.

But most importantly, they won't have a clue how to fix your issue.... I'd say try downloading the client again or look for an alternate mirror site to try and get it from.
