Everyone keeps whining about the servers and crap like that. Yeah it hasn't been great, but these idiots who try to log into a full server complain when it's laggy or about Que-que line or whatever it's called. Shut up and find another server.
I play a medium sever and I only lagged when the changes were first put in. Fine now, no lag complaints, no server complaints!
Oh yeah, and kiddies, remember this is blizzard, yeah, first MMORPG ever! Give them some flipping slack!

Im starting to think all of these people complaining have never played an MMO before because they dont know how good they have had it. Blizzard games have always been perfect with nothing to complain about they just miscalculated and if u expect them to be able to fix this kinda thing quick ur wrong there are alot of things you need to do in a business like that to get anything done.

Question i keep asking is if people played at launch and saw the servers were overcrowded why stick on that server?
I have not played the US retail version but when EQ2 came out i started on an original server runneye but after 2 days play i saw it was way overcrowded and SoE was just letting more on it then it could handle and moved to another server which has now become crowded.
So surely if people moved from a heavy queued server to a new one they would be playing in a server with adequate numbers yet no queue by now and enjoying themselves.
I can't understand the need to stick to overcrowded server.
I suffered in EQlive for nearly a year because of lag before the server got split and regretted going to an original server.
Once euro WoW comes out and if i get into a queue i will just move asap when they open a new server.
Wrong. Someone here kept touting go play on Blackrock its not a high pop server, last night all I saw were Blackrock is down threads and whatnot relating specifically to Blackrock. So much for that.
EDIT: What are you on drugs? Give them some slack cos its their first time? You realize its a business. To you its a game, but it's all a business its a industry. By 'title' it may be Blizzards first MMO but you can bet there are many MMO veterans working on the game both on the backend and on design. Furthermore, you pay 15$ a month for it you don't cut slack. City of Heroes was Cryptic Studios' first GAME, not only first MMO, but first wide release game, it came out with a flawless launch and has seen nothing but success since then. Don't ignore Blizzard when it's been resting on it's laurels.

Wrong. Blackrock IS a high population server just go look right now...oh wait you cant because you dont even play, which is why nobody listens to you.

I completely agree, i think most of the whiners are ppl that never played an mmo before, and i see it in game all the time, like priests in groups that just don't heal lol its funny as hell. But i just ignore it, i've played EQ, FF11, SWG, DAOC, AO, and EQ2 all for some reasonable time, swg for over a year, and i've had the LEAST problems in this game, and the LEAST lag out of all of them

Why not change servers? Because there were only 15 servers or so that were up the first few days.. and they were ALL high pop, so we didn't have much choice did we? The second day they brought up more servers, another 20 or so. I joined one of them, moving my whole guild with me. In a few days that server was high pop, too. How many times were we supposed to move? This happened with pretty much everyone that played on the first few days. People with guilds don't have much of a choice, because it's hard to move a whole guild to another server, even if it is only a week after release.
Doesn't EQ2 offer server transfers? If WoW offered server transfers that would solve most of the problems.. but they don't, for whatever reason.
And it's not only high pop servers that are having problems, there are quite a few medium and low pop servers that are having problems as well. Not queue problems, just downtimes and crashes.
I guess it's pretty easy to say "it isn't so bad" when you're not even playing the game, eh?

Ok I give up flame away.
True i am not on US WoW and have to say i am not sorry i waited for euro one for more reason then just server problems but not going to get into that.
Hopefully the euro WoW would learn better.Agreed they should offer a transfer but then again it does not come without its problem.
Yes EQ2 offered tranfers and you should see the flames that caused. Some got seperated from their guidlies. Some got sperated from their friends. Some where not even around to apply for transfer.
But maybe WoW should bite the bullet and do a transfer.
Of course as been pointed out the less populated servers are crashing too but this will reduce the queuing.
I pray by time euro WoW launches next month this problems will not occur there.
It isn't so bad. My ping is quite high, but it never gets disturbing.
That is already in place. Except I think it's just X amount of people, not X amount of horde and Y amount of Alliance.
That's the queues you hear everyone complaining about. At peak times it isn't unusual to wait in a line of 500+ people and 30+ minutes on a few servers.
Some low and medium pop servers also have bad lag/crashes/downtime, also, so there is more to the problem then population.
