in Everquest II

Okay well I got a 3dForce 6800 for Christmas rather than a FX 5200 that couldnt run the game for shit. Im gonna start on a new slate and was wondering: Whats a good server to start a new slate on?

Games Played:DoAC, EQ, CoH, Lineage 2, Planetside, Shadowbane, EQ2, EVE, WoW, AO, and Asherons Call 2.

    And also another thing, I can only usually play from like 6-8 or 9 and than 11-1(So usually 2-5 hours a day on weekdays) and probably 3-12 hours a day on weekends. Will I be able to get a somewhat progressive experience or will i be doomed in the teens for months and months to come??

    Oh and question: What is your in game username? If you don't want to give it out thats fine I was just looking for someone experienced who could help me if i had a few questions.

    Nimrod,

    A ton of people from these boards play on the befallen server.  This is where i would recommend.  I have played on mistmoore and a few other servers, they totally blow.

    Befallen's economy is fantastic, its definitely a buyers market (what you need as a noob)

    in game name is septik

    feel free to send me a tell.  I will be on sunday afternoon..  (going snowmobiling WHOOT!)

    I can loan ya a few silver too.

    Well, the 6800 might not be much better than the old FX5200 at running EQ2. Series 6 nvidia cards have many problems with EQ2. I have the 6800Gt, and its running just ok, not much better than my old 9700.

    The only way your gonna run this game better is if you buy a 5k dollar alienware computer.

    don't worry, I was stuck in the teens for only a week

    but I've been stuck at THIS DAMN LEVEL 31 FOR A FREAKING TWO WEEKS!

    Befallen is good btw.

    Whats up Rah....I mean septikimage but yeah Befallen is a really good server. Look up Fithin for a copper or four.

    So how come the rest of us that have used 2 year old non alienware computers are running the game fine?

    My new build system that i made a few weeks ago cost me like £1000 = $2000- athlon 64 3500+,1gb ram,x800xt pice-e .And i can run this game on highest setting and only tune down to second highest setting for busy zone and raids.

    And before i build this was using a 2 yr  system with a R9800pro to run at balanced setting with no lag.

    So many myths surrounding EQ2 its so incredibleimage

    I run the game beautifully with a computer just over a $1,000. Anyone who says you have to have a 5k computer just has their own problems with the game so they attack every aspect of it. Otherwise known as trolls.

    Anyways, Befallen is an awesome server. I just started a new toon on there and the comunity has been really cool thus far. Look for me as Delgar (Dwarf fighter as of now)
