Soooo coming back to the game after being extremly dissapointed with the beta, and first week of release. Im quite enjoying what the new dev team has been doing.....However during the time i did play i was able to play the game at max graphics including the ambient occlusion and depth of field (0 Anti aliasing).
At the time i was running a Geforce 480 gtx. Now currently working with 2 480's in SLI.
Coming back to the game i can only run game at standard graphics and lowest shadows, with no AO or Depth.. So did i miss something or has the game further de optimized? or any suggestions i could try?

You might try their tech support forum, I don't run in SLI but there might be an issue with that, though I don't know why that would make it even worse than how you used to play it.
They have actually (somewhat) improved performance for most people, but they keep talking about how they are in the process still of tweaking the engine further for better performance on lower spec machines (and most likely for better PS3 performance as well).
My setup is:
i7 2.67 Ghz
GTX 480
6 GB RAM
dual Raptors in a raid 0
I can run the game at 1920x1080, with all options turned on highest except ambient occlusion which honestly doesn't do much at the moment anyways but cause me to crash occassionaly, with Fraps/ventrilo running in the background and still get 40-60 fps in town or in battle.

I've had this problem before too. I turned off sli, and used dual monitors, one for ZAM, YG, etc. the other for full screen game. This seems to fix it for me. I have everything on max with no problems now. I don't think FFXIV supports sli or something.
