I noticed that fileplant was giving keys away for January, I should of got one, but because i knew i was on holiday that weekend, i never bothered.. Doh!!

Hi all, Guild Wars is a sweet game, and it is dissapointing that it is not available in a lot of countries but perservere with finding a key, and you will not regret it. I played the last beta weekend event, and event in beta it was such a cool game. I played it for over 41 hours that weekend, and 37 of them were in a row. If that isn't a decent endorsement of it's merits, then what is? Also I looked at the import site: http://www.importmadness.com/cgi-bin/prod?Item_Number=131574 , and found it annoying they don't list what in game item you get. I am getting my copy through EB games so I can get the Ithas Bow. If it listed what item you get, or gave you a choice, then the import shop would be ok, but as is I am not risking my money on an item I may not want to use with my chosen profession. But if your desperate for a copy, then give them a go. Also if the person offering to buy copies for people used an ESCROW agency, he might get some much needed trust, and be able to help people get the item they wanted even, with their order, if he has access to all the shops. Even PayPal or the like could work. But at least talk on Team Speak with them for a while to guage their character. I'm sure he wouldn't rip you off, as long as it's worth his while to go to the trouble of doing the work. I say an extra 10 to 15 dollars us would be a good investment, as this would cover his time, and still be cheaper than the postage costs from EB Games. lol

Roguesniper, you seem to forget that not everyone who wants to play or try this is living in the Bad Ol US of A. The postage for this game is more than 10 bucks US FFS. Be realistic. My copy is costing me 65US and that's by going thirds in the shipping costs. But at least I'll be one of the few people in Tasmania with a Pre-Release Box Set all of my very own. I'm just lucky I have friends in the USA that it can be shipped to, then have them send it to me, or I would most likely either not be able to get it, or end up with the wrong in game item I wanted. If you really want to help, sell some pre-order copies on EBAY for the rest of the world. You could even make some money. LOL

pathosbedlam: The point i was making is that "the warrior" can go and get the pre order. I understand that many people in other nations can't get the pre order thats why if i get a pre order i would give the event pass to someone who is unable to get it.

OK Roguesniper I do see what you mean, but for anyone not in the US, last night I went to EBAY and used the buy it now on a Friend Beta Key, for $3. I got the key in an e-mail, from Roger Graves, and it works fine, I am noww registered for the weekend coming up on the 18th. Anyone with PayPal should definately have a look on EBAY us for some guild wars items, as they have quite a few full beta packages on there. I only got the Friend key, cause I figured at least there was no other postage involved, but if you can wait for the actual box set, then I think about $5us for the item, and $12us for the postage for Guild Wars is bloody cheap compared to what my copy is costing me. But at least most of that was paid for by a set of nemesis thighs I got in Project Entroia off a friend, and managed to sell in auction at an exorbitent price. lol Anyway I just think it can't be that hard to get a copy. Anyone having difficulty should e-mail me at pathosbedlam@yahoo.com and I will endeavour to find a way you can get me the money to pay for a copy either with PayPal or my Visa card. But please only those who have no other way of getting a copy. But I am involved in a Wedding this weekend and the Guild Wars weekend, doh, so be patient as I can not always get back to you as quick as I would like.
Anyone sending me money will get my mobile phone number and I will tell them a web site to send my Vodaphone sim free sms messages to get a hold of me when Needed.

Let us only hope that some site does a "fileplanet" (giving out beta keys for free) If I heard right the population of playing ppl last beta weekend january reached with 30%, so it's quite good commercial for the game and ArenaNet...
