I just arrived in Seattle,WA. I'll be leaving in 3 days. I'm from Maine. Would Arenanet allow me into the studio, for like a tour? I just realized that I'm very close to them and I'm REALLY EXCITED.
You could hang around on the sidewalk outside their building with a camera, then take a lot of pictures and gush when an employee walks by. You might get a pity "hello" or some brief conversation with someone on the dev team. More likely you'll end up with a restraining order though, so it might be best to forget about it.
I would stop by just to "check out the lobby" taking some doughnuts or something as a gift, and then try and see if you can get some GW2 graft. A pen, hat, shirt, receptionist's phone number, whatever.
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.
I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.
I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.
Yeah I have a trip planned for PAX Prime, and emailed them asking about a tour of the studio. Unfortunately they said they were closed to the public but I'll see a lot of them at PAX anyway!
I had been meaning to make a thread, and I still might, to take requests for PAX goers (I know myself and a few others from here are going). I might just hijack this one though.
So, given that I have a friend who's going to be an enforcer @the ANet both and I have passes for the weekend, I'm going to camp at their booth. What to you guys want to know? I'm going to be kidnapping a friends video camera, so I can record and do some commentary if wanted, and who knows, maybe I can get some questions in with the devs..

Most likely they wouldn't.
I'd say the best place to get that answer would be ArenaNet.
Give them a call first. The studio I worked in would allow tours for people 18+ provided it was a slower day.
If they allow you to drop by, make sure you bring picture as I'm sure there will be a NDA.

I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.
