Siege system?

Was looking around trying to see if there was some type of siege system...did anyone see anything like that?  Player housing?  Player city?

Great question.  It was addressed in dev chat #4 the other week, and this is my personal take-away from getting caught up on the game and its' game-play mechanics.

You can siege bases, without engines though.  It appears as though the emphasis is on coordinated military ops without siege engines, at this point, with the emphasis on on you, your trusty carriable weaponry, perhaps special class abilities, and the assault team your with.

So the player citty would be the base that your guild actually builds; bases must be constructed.  And bases that are constructed by an opposing realms force can be seiged and taken-over, or occupied for your force to capitalize on the surrounding resources, the Prime.

I haven't seen any word on player housing, but being that game-play seems to be focused around territory control, resource control, base construction and control with a military/guild/realm focus, I'd doubt it.

It's a fact.  It's part of their battle system.  Bases have to be constructed, though, by players.  From what I've read/heard, there are 7 different base structures and they support the player-base's accumulation and controll of resources.

Yep, think they said that there are double digit places on Dominus to build bases to establish control. Your guild can control one at a time and the control and upgrade of bases with have an effect on your faction in some way.

All I heard was... "Well aren't you just a little lolly pop triple dipped in psycho."

My understanding is bases are  specific to each race(you cannout occupy another races base).a base can be destroyed...not captured.your race can build a base where the destroyed base was.No siege  engines are in the game..but no word on whether they EVER will be.

You can't build a base just wherever you like.  There are preset areas where you can bulid a base.  The designers also said a guild can only claim one base at a time.   Right now, the bases aren't guarded by any npc's, but the designers sounded willing to reconsider that based on feedback.
