Hold on while I clarify something. Sony isnt the junk maker, its the branch of Sony; SOE that does. Sony is a very large company with dealings in many things. They have the PS1, PS2, and soon to be PS3. They have an excellent QA department for non-SOE games (some other company handles that). If you noticed a difference between Final Fantasy X, and Final Fantasy X-2, it is because FFX went through the QA department, FFX-2 didnt. They also make TV's. Sony does alot.

Ah yes, total junk maker. That would explain their HORRIBLE track record. EQ 1 was a total failure, just look at those pewny subscription numbers and records they set. And EQ II is obviously in arears, those server splits mean nothing, they couldn't get subscribers if they tried.
Oh and all those hours I played EQ II this week, I did it all alone! I was so lonely with those 99 other players in my zone cause the game is such junk!

Even tons of online friends were made there. EQ1 became a regular part of everyone's life. So naturally I was very anxious and excited for the new release of EQ2. Not only did I just run out and buy the game but I bought the official strategy guide by "Prima" and a 3 month subscription (good thing I didn'y buy the year sub). Well the first 3 weeks were like "Wow what great graphics" and "Wow what great voice overs". BUt that was it. The game turned into a treadmill of exp grinding. On top of that SOE came out with a huge patch in early January that caused a graphics stutter on my computer that made it totally unplayable. When I went to the tech help message boards I learned that alot of people had the same problem. Yet SOE refused to admit that there was a problem and that the problem was with our computers. OUR COMPUTERS? The game worked great till they came out with that damn patch in early January. Insert the image of a fat guy in a suit behind a big corporate desk piled with money laughing while smoking a cigar. Thats SOE. They have no desire to make a game that is fun. What's worse is that I'm none too impressed with many of the MMO's that are fixing to come out. If EQ2 had RvR then I think it would definitely be fun to play. But all it offers are fancy shmancy graphics. Heck if I wanted fancy graphics I would've went out and bought me a nice screensaver and stared at that instead.

A stutter that made it totally unplayable? Gee, you always exxagerate horribly?
I am one of the people affected by the stutter, I beleive at this moment my sig says 14 hours of play from this weekend. Stutter didn't seem to stop me from playing, as a matter of fact its not that noticeable unless your being a total nazi about it. I have more issue with them not putting anti aliasing into the default options then the stutter which is nvidia's problem and they have stated nvidia IS working on. SOE refused to admit the problem? They have admitted it several times over, I think you really need to look around alittle before you start making blatant accusations. The issue has been acknowledged as an issue, and as I have said Nvidia is working on the problem.
I am not even gonna go over the grind issue again, I stated myself in another thread on that already. All I have to say is if you couldn't find anything other then grind in EQ II, well then you really don't belong in EQ II.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. EQ2 isn't for a lot of people and it particularly isn't for a lot of people who frequent this board (or any board for that matter). In the gaming world you have game-players and you have complainers. General game boards are populated primarily by complainers - always have been. Thankfully, what you see in game bears no resemblence to what you see on the boards.
Anyway, everything is too tough and no fun for these people because they don't want to put out any effort and, bottom line, they don't really want to be happy. Complaining IS their thing. Hell we have people now complaining about which smiley a guy uses These guys couldn't make it in EQ2 if their lives depended on it. Despite their various claims, you read their whines and half the time they don't even know how the game works
Just look at this one ... he doesn't like short buffs, he doesn't like long buffs ... he's allegedly played EverQUEST for 5 years now and doesn't like quests. God forbid he has to do a quest for access to something (he must have loved PoP, eh). God forbid something isn't handed to him on a silver platter. This guy probably NEVER DID get out of exp debt, lol ... "harsh penalty" ... rofl, didja get a widdle boo boo there, awwwwwww
It ain't even worth pointing out all the errors anymore. And I think some of them sleep with a voodoo doll of SOE. Let's get them out of here ... they can go live in anticipation of the next game to come out and then whine about that one. Show them the door ... the sooner they're gone the better
