Aerrevan: Now F2P and with 25% Off In-Game Items

According to CubeForce Media, today is a good day to try out Aerrevan. Not only is the game now free to play, but all in-game purchases are 25% off for a limited time.

Aerrevan boasts a unique NPC interaction system, captivating storyline, classless advancement, and unprecedented roleplaying opportunities. “We wanted to create a game that focused on role-play, and challenged players to prosper in a fantasy world with unique characters, immersive quests and gameplay,” said Neil Oosterveen, Executive Producer for Aerrevan.

Aerrevan takes players to the fantasy continent of Lurris, where its people are faced with the imbalance of a magical essence known as Aer. In correct quantities, Aer fosters life and growth; but under extreme exposure, Aer becomes a deadly force. When the Baehoman meteor fell from the skies four years ago, it brought with it excess amounts of Aer, causing many residents of Lurris to be killed or horribly mutated. Aer continues to play a large part in the daily lives of Lurrians, and is a central element in the story of Aerrevan.

Oh please! I have tested this game since closed beta, open beta and after release. It's NOT FINISHED. Actually in some aspects it's not even half way. I m trully being honest here. I wanted this game to do well..I played it for a couple of weeks recently. It's broken. If you can go beyond the limited toon customization, the horrible UI, the boring world design and the repeated textures then you will get furious by rubberbanding creatures , invisible mobs, and falling through the floors of most buildings. Oh and the "NPC interaction system" is just a confusing way to over-complicate the amount of blah-blah that goes on during questing.

On the possitive side: Lore sounds nice and music is not bad.

Oh and i must not forget the hundreds of technical problems. After each patch a large  random number of players can't even log in! I'd advise Cubeforce Media to take 1-2 years and re-do the whole thing and launch it under another name.

This really reminds me of Alganon, from what I've heard. I'm not sure if that's a good thing.  And....I could be wrong, but...it's enough familiar sounding to raise a red flag for me.

Alganon is a much better game than this.Technically and content wise.

Admittedlyit's been a while since I tested this game, but wow it was so monumentally broken that I had to walk away.  Sounds like it hasn't improved much since I last saw it either.

I think this is a product of people who are very, very, inexperinced when it comes to actually creating a real product.  As far as I'm concerned these people are scamming others out of their money, this shouldn't be considered a game.  I truly feel bad for the people who bought this product, and then actually paid a monthly fee for it.

I really wish people would hold game companies to higher standards, especially dev teams like this.  If they can't create a proper gaming experience after a few months of their "gold release" legal action should be an option.  False advertising, something.  I honestly don't know.  I'm guessing if a company was slapped in the face with a huge fine for creating a terrible, unfinished product they'd do their damn best to make sure the game was in at least working condition.

I like to complain about games.

The game shouldn't even be in Alpha, I played the beta and it was obvious the game needed a lot of work. The devs might be out of cash so maybe they had to launch but ye the game is far from finished.

Just knew this would happen,i tried to wrestle with the  amatuerish Alpha beta but since Beta 2 the bugger just kept crashing,i'll try again just to see if miracles really do happen !!

Why does this game sound so familiar?

IS this one of those hyped up Sandbox games we got excited about a couple years ago that fell off the map?

    man... im drawing a blank.

    Playing: Nothing

    Looking forward to: Nothing

EWW i wouldnt touch that game even if they PAID ME.... i played their so called optimized client... had more graphic bugs and game issues then a freaking alpha test... rather sad i can play the new APB just fine, but this game using its out of date graphics blackscreens and freezes up or fails to load model/sprites.. lolol

sorry they can keep it free or sub i think they should spend more time fixing it.... i liked its suggested plans but i dont think its there yet

This game should be renamed to : "How not to build your mmo : The Game"

It´s just a very heavy pile of bugs and glitches.

I would honestly not play it even if they paid me to.

Good to know, because I think Alganon is rubbish. So I definitely don't need to look at this game!

I found the game surprisingly fun the only down falls of the game is its not done yet like many have said. Ive fallen through the ground, and  a few other bugs but other then that the music is grade A. Also a REAL game :D doesnt look at the graphics but the core gameplay and what i saw looked good. IF this gmae makes it i may just return to it. Keep those updates ROLLING!

I've played it a couple times over the last six months or so.  A recent patch improved performance and stability for me quite a bit.  I don't think my video card likes OpenGL, I've had similar issues with others also.

Will check it out... thanks for the tip.
