Rift Planes Of Telara My First Impressions/Review!

GeowashGeowash Member Posts: 372

This week I thought id return to a game that I grew very attached to while it was in Beta. That game was Rift Planes Of Telara and it was developed by Trion Worlds in the fantasy setting giving the players the chance to experience a some what Vanilla WoW mixed with Warhammerish feeling.

Heres the review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUZCyz5FnMs

Question of the video: Do you suffer from Riftdrawl? If so, what is your highest level character, and if not, why didnt you like Rift?

Thanks for watching and dont forget to hit that subscribe button!

Its still Rift Planes Of Telara. Sure they shortened the title to launch it, but when they release a xpac eventually, many will be like. Oh I remember Rift Planes Of Telara. Instead of games like WoW where they call it Vanilla. Personal preference really.

My highest level character is close to 40. He may be over 40.

I do miss Rift, but then I remember how hard it is for DPS to get a group. And how much it sucks to play a tank in that game due to the community.

Also, the War Fronts get lame pretty fast.

Its always hard to get a group as a DPS lol. As for the tanking, thats why I quit WoW, I couldnt get a healer that wouldnt jack off durring a pull and just let me die haha.

Nice review, the only problems are so facts:

     - it's 6 months old, not 12.

    - All archtypes have pets.  Warr get the Cat in beastmaster, clerics get the fairy/satyr in druid, mages get pets in elementalist and necro, rogues get pets in ranger.

If money is aproblem fro you buying the game, during the celebration for the 6month birthday they will be selling it for 4.99!  you can use my buddy code to get in for the 7 days then buy it.

Yeah I had my time off a tad, probably because the closed beta and the fact ive been really busy so time just feels like its going by so fast. Should have looked it up, so its my bad. As far as the pets, I did that based off my knowlege and ive not played all the Archtypes yet, but thanks for listing them for the community =)

And I didnt know they were going to do that, is that for digital only id assume?

You left becasue the game was great fun to play ?

Oh no, you left becasue it was pants, not sufficiently engaging etc.

Now you are bored and come back you  don't have the personal insight to recognise what happened first time around when the game was new and fresh.

    Where is your integrity ?

In many areas of this forum post and on the comments ive said that the only reason I have not kept playing is money. I simply dont have enough money to maintain a subscription fee because I have bills to pay and college to pay for. Next month I will be able to afford a subscription fee again and hop right back into Telara to continue where I left off. Please read posts before you make a comment about it for im pretty sure I even said that in the video that I didnt have enough money.
