this is so silly. Please stop the constant hate. There is no need to make irrational posts in topics for games you don't like. There are plenty of other topics for you to post in or god forbid, go outside and get some exercise.
As for the issue of server #'s...........alll new MMO's have a rush of players at launch and need extra servers to accomodate the initial rush/login jam and it only makes sense that they aren't needed after the initial herd is thinned. After launch, people are no longer so demanding on servers because they spread out by levels which allows devs to consolodate servers which has the added benefit of increasing social opportunities. Good luck to Rift, but unfortunately my time is currently spoken for.

Everquest continued to grow for at least 5 years striaght
WoW ocntinued to grow for at least 5 years straight
FWIW, EvE continued to grow for at least 5 years straight
Only the weaker games fall off. The strong games keep their customers.
Rift has had major retention issues, this is evident by all the stops they are pulling to get customers, yet according to the server population tracking websites week after week there is a population drop (small the last few months, but still dropping)
i bet most hate or naysayer are different game seller,could be any listed game here lol that makes a lot of haters if this game took the little amount of gamer various game on list here have .wouldnt want another wow now would we,imagine wow lol and rift owning the gamer ?nha lets bash some of those game wait wow communinity dont care lol ?same thing ,ok one left then maybe rift community will mind lol!

I'm one of the aforementioned 6 month subscribers that hasn't set foot in game in weeks. This won't get me to resubscribe, however if the prestige bonus stacks with the new Whitefall Escalation increased bonus warfront I could see working on the grind to rank 8- it'll add value to the account when I sell it.
