I am thinking about returning to EQ2

Hi everybody,
I stopped playing around release of Sentinel's fate. Now I am thinking about returning to the game as subscriber. I wanted to ask...what exactly am I missing out ïf I am gold and not platinum member? Also I remember some sort of card game, but since I am from czech republic I couldnt participate in tournaments, has it changed? And when I collected some rewards from card game (in-game items) and I had character on PvP server, and now I would want to go on RP server are those transferable, or should I simply start new acc and buy the game?

Pretty valid question. I haven't played in a while and have really been considering coming back. There really was a lot to the game and I do miss it it quite a bit.
What have the pro's and con's been to the games direction in the last 2 years?
Is it true that we no longer get monthly booster packs for card game with our subscription?
cannot speak for other membership levels
but I'm gold on EQ2X and im still getting free monthly LON packs
I do not recommend platinum unless you like the SC cash that comes with it
the primary difference between gold and plat:
plat has access to all player races and includes DOV expansion

i started back up a month ago and started playing on the eq2x server, decided to move my assassin there and I love it. It's very enjoyable with a lot of players. I was skeptical at first, but I love the combat system i think it's a lot more in depth than other mmo's offer right now. The reason I quit in the first place is because I started way late and no one was around to group /quest with. My RL friends run a big wow guild and I just hopped back over there. Initially I wanted to play EQ2 from the start, but my PC at the time couldn't handle it so I took the alternative. I think it's a good idea to give it a shot first, I really love it
So after some time deciding I decided to go on extended, I am now gold member, have latest expansion and I have 2000 SC...I would like some new race but cant decide between 2 packs or freeblood
also anybody knows good guilds that would be mainly european? (GMT+1) and do I understand it correctly that extended has just one server?
I thought you could not raid without platinum or they changed it to allow gold too access to raiding.

No content is restricted on any level exsept the latest expansion. You cant use the drops you get from raiding, but you can absolutely still raid. It will be far more challenging but there will always be raid targets for your guilds skill/gear level.

In the game there is a UI to find a guild.Each guild posts a bit of information about themselves,this is your best bet.

yes EQ2X has only one server
Illuminatus is a european guild
Synergy is a raiding euro guild
and take Wizardry's advice about the guild finder -- its the best LFGuild tool ive seen in mmos
