Its not quite free, you have to register to get it.  requires a little bit of work on your end.

I believe I played thru this game twice when I was a kid.  It was fun in its Hey-Day.  I've got better games to play now-a-days.  If I want a similiar game that has better graphics and you can toggle between real-time vs turn-based, I can go to Dragon-Age.

Remembering Ultima IV, I think some of the quests and mechanics of opening the shrines and trying to figure out the quests and who to talk to was pretty innovative.  Dragon-Age is a bit more dumb-downed.  Makes it easier to play, for sure.  Ultima IV was a challenge.

The game is dead not, this game is good we make it and Romania Tv give it 5 goat heads, this is good rating for game.

what is  "not free" on that?

not to mention that to be registered on gog is great, since they have a lot of great old games (which in some cases (like master of orion 1/2) are still better than anything done since)

Aye, tons of great games on GOG.  I own many of them.

Still waiting for Homeworld though.  That will make my day if they ever offer it. image

Another great offering on there for RPG fans (not free) is Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura.

Arcanum: Of Steamworks is compleetly free to download and even has a dedicated fan base that made tons of patches and improvement to make it playable to modern system.

the free version is however very hard to track down, its also still sold but there is a website that offers it compleetly free. if/when i find the link i post it.
