Hello all MMORPG-goers,
The Lonely Asura, a devoted Guild Wars 2 News and Discussion Podcast, is looking for a new co-host. For those of you who haven't heard of the show, please do visit us at ThelonelyAsura.com, and check out Episode 4: Pax and Gamescon. If you are interested in the position, fill out an application at the website! We only have one position, so please do drop by soon.
Our criterion is the following:
1. First and foremost, you love and await Guild Wars 2. Understanding the game and the lore to a significant degree is important. How can you get the nerdy jokes about Norn and Kegbrawl if you don't know Guild Wars 2 stuff.
2. You are an adult. No we aren't Ageist, but we aren't extremely tight-lipped and wouldn't be comfortable interacting like that with someone who is say 14, plus immaturity can play into things, so it is an issue we'd rather just avoid. 18 and up please.
3. You have Saturday middays free, we record around 12 PM EST. This cannot be budged mainly because one of our host is English. So that is another thing we must have. That being said, we are much much more flexible about practice and just takling and planning the Podcast/Skit.
4. This is a proffesional conversational program, so you must have good speaking presence. We can't have a podcast with 1/5 of the hosts don't/ are incapable talk and give input can we?
5. Microphone, this is a big one. We need you to have a good mic. Our mixer Erige is a magician, but he cannot edit out extremely crackly and popping microphone, though mild background noise can be worked around, as long as your voice is louder than sounds that make their way into the recording.
6. We would prefer it if you were female. We have a 3/1 Guy-Girl ratio, we'd like to even it out, and for the skit, we'd like the female because there are only so many roles the guy can play.
Well that is the basics, we are all excited to get your applications and start the selection progress. And please tune in everyone! Remember, TheLonelyAsura.com
Thanks,
MagicBanana of The Lonely Asura
