It is over an hour of gameplay with a lot of crashes and bugs. It is also pretty funny those guys are a laugh. Pay special attention about 38 minutes in he raises a good point.

Yea it's year old footage... still funny though. The penny stock pump-and-dump thing seems accurate.
Funny... MO's similarities to Dark and Light still continue today.
I win!!! LOL@U
didnt think dark and lgiht ever released, also they got sued for using an engine they hadnt licensed

Sure it did, they just called it a "soft release" knowing its beta like shape. (what MO should have done) The lawsuit wasn't started until after the game closed.
I was referring to MOs latest press releases about "Asian Server" and "Partnerships" , the exact same things DnL did at the end.

Yep. Talk about bad memories.
A man is his own easiest dupe, for what he wishes to be true he generally believes to be true...
and both companies used "Acts of God" as an excuse! *uncanny*

Classic.
It started my addiction on GBTV
to be fair on mo though, it doesnt crash anymore i mean it doesnt for me at least, i crash more playing red orchestra 2 or arma2 than i do playing MO. for me its as stable as AOC. Still bugs but alot of the ones shown in the video are no longer ingame.
Also from what i have heard from alot of people who played DNL the game was a mess but for some strange reason they kinda miss it and are looknig forward to the new one, also you could lside down mountains on your shield awesome.

This video is over a year old. Can we get this thread locked already?
Never trust a screenshot or a youtube video without a version stamp!
Why lock the thread? Are you trying to say that their are not problems in the game that are a year old?
there is a old thread about it.
ROFL ! "this game its like a wood chopping simulation"
He wants the thread locked because he doesn't like the fun making about how ridiculous MO truely is and this video shows with humor just how pathetic the game is.
I actually had the privilege to watch this show live (it was muuuuuch longer in unedited form). It really is a classic in livestream It was so painfully obvious that he wanted to like the game but, like so many others... all he could do in the end was laugh at the final product.

I only brought it up because Opal did. Thought it was newsworthy. And alot of the problems you see in the game are still there.

Gamebreaker TV - This Week in MMO's
I have stumbled upon a segment on Gamebreaker - This Week in MMO's where they talked about Mortal Online. They mostly focus on how hard it is for new players to start out in Hardcore Sandbox games, and why they are a niche, mixing in with a bit of disappointment during the launch of the game.
Overall the show is interesting to anyone keeping an eye on the MMO industry beyond the casual perspective. They ask a lot of good questions in regards to the state and the direction of the entire industry.

LOL, the Gamebreaker TV episode Opal recently mentioned was a few days old, which is just a bit more relevant than announcing a video that is one year and three months old.

I think the guy should do a followup playthrough to see if it's improved at all - like his opinion or not he seems to give it to the players straight rather than this biased pro/con crap that's floating around MO at the moment which tbh doesn't help anyone.
you could try the free trial and see for yourself, there have been many improvements since reelase which is when he posted this video initially. I mean the game wasnt palyable at release, its actually alot of fun now but still ahs its problems.

Actually the suit was filed before the game even released. The guy that created the world generated left the game before it's release and didn't want the devs to use his software becuase they wouldn't credit him for it's creation, and so he filed suit against NPcube (or whatever they're called) to block the use of the world generator. NPcube turned around and claimed that they had made enough modifications to the original world generator that it was no longer the original software and thus it belonged to them and not the oringinal creator. In a very tiny nutshell.
And SV was much clearer about the state of their game then NPcube was about DnL; to the point that they wrote a letter stating that the game would be VERY rough and need a lot of work when it released. DnL was billed as a finished game, with only a portion of the world itself available for play in, along with items that people paid for and never recieved.
Can you link that letter please?

This is also true for Star Vault. A year and a half later no Tindrem, no Diva system etc. Players still haven't received the released version of the CD , nor have they received updates on media for the entire life of Mortal online that we paid for.
By saying Mortal Online will be a rough ride, in no way exempts them from deleviring what was promised and paid for.

Not true. The game released around June 2006. The lawsuit was not filed until April 2007.

Not that it matters, DnL was a horrid piece of work that was more scam than game. MO is a heck of a lot better than DnL ever was...
