Maybe ur the one who needs to think. Ur just telling me what i already stated plonker. I sed he said that there are GOING to be pvp servers so i think it's a bit obvious there's no pvp.

I am personally convinced that there will in fact be PVP, even though I could really care less because PvP means absolutely nothing to me.

    1. There was PvP in EQ1 and those were some of THE most crowded servers. I don't think SOE is that stupid to not put something back into a sequel that was so popular in the original.

    2. There is a LOT of potential for PvP (particularly RvR) in EQ2. I mean come on, good vs. evil. Two distinct cities. Lots of animosity between then. It doesn't get much more obvious that that.

    3. Go to Qeynos Harbor and look at the sign on the arena. Says it's down for matinence. I'm thinking, why would that be there in the first place, especially with a sign saying that, if there were no plans of PvP?

another thing, if you really really want to find out, go onto the official EQ2 Teamspeak server and find a SOE employee thats playig the game. There was one in Blackburrow channel about a week ago that I didn't even realize was part of SOE until he told me (maybe the SA status and how he was responsible for some stuff on the server should have clued me in but it didnt at first). What did I do? I asked questions! Obviously there were some things he couldn't say, but I did get some information about some stuff. All I'm gonna say is the expansion is gonna 1) make a lot of people who rushed to lvl 50 mad and 2) make the game a looot bigger.

*if you want a hint to #1 on the bottom, go watch the VERY end of the "ding you're 65!" video,

Schutzbar - Human Warrior - Windrunner Alliance - World of Warcraft
Nihilanth - Kerra Paladin - Blackburrow - EverQuest II
    XBL Gamertag - Eagle15GT

I believe there will PvP in EQ2.  Sony is taking their time about it and I think they're doing the right thing.

Sony's been getting a bad rap about EQ2 and I don't think its entirely justified.  Lots of posters claimed that if Sony would just release EQ2 in its current state, they would be grateful that there was something to start playing with.  The fact is, this game is only about 1/4 of its potential as defined by the number of levels available.  What's more, the colloseums are shut down for "rennovation".

PvP will come.  Hopefully they will do it right.  Its a touchy piece PvP is.  Easy to screw up....

And like SOE said, the game is made to be playable in the future. There's no point ijn releasing everything before the "future" the game is aimed at isn;t even there yet.

Yes, I don't give two #&!@ what SOE says right now. That game is completely set up for a classic RvR situation. Every zone in Qeynos has a cousin in Freeport that's the same level and scope. Both sides' races can be every archetype and every class, creating instant class balance. The only difference are the subclasses, which are already balancing each other out almost perfectly. The arenas someone mentioned are a good point as well. And there's city status points, which is screaming reward framework for PvP deeds.

I mean there is no other reason they would have set it up that way unless RvR was planned at some point down the road. If it wasn't planned, their efforts in doubling up every zone on either side would have been better spent making a larger variety of dungeons all across the board... That fact alone points to a strong possibility of RvR.

It will happen, I can almost guarantee it.

There is no possibility for EQ2 to develope PvP. The main problem is the game engine is not for PvP.

I think EQ2 supposed to develop PvP from the view point of game design. I think EQ2 is not fully development yet. A complete game should be released one year later.
