What game is most similar to Asherons Call?

Which up and current game is the most similar to Asherons Call? If there is more then one then which is better? I am looking for a game to play since Asherons Call is old and no one plays it anymore.

AC is roughly 50% Level Based and 50% Skill Based.
Anarchy Online comes closest to being like AC. But AO is a sci-fi themed MMORPG.
SWG is 100% Skill Based. (and a sci-fi MMORPG.)
There are almost no new medieval-themed skill based MMORPGs being made.
Though I hear Horizons leans towards being Skill Based. But I never played it yet, so cannot comment anymore on it.
Watch for the release of "Mourning".. to me it looks like the closest thing to Asherons Call to come out since the original AC... especially if you liked and/or played on the Darktide server. The release date is promised for Feb 25 next month. They are taking pre-orders at only $29.95 instead of the after-release price which will likely be $49.95.
Time will tell if this game will actually release on time and how good it will be. But to me, an avid Asherons Call Darktide player.. I am also looking for a game that offers the same kinda of character customization and challenge that AC offered.. - And to me "Mourning" definately looks to be as close to AC as anything. Cross your fingers. We'll see
