Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a new game. Those are my requirements:
1. No RMT (I mean freemiums or P2P WITH (even vanity) item shop) - I don't like when you could buy anything that you could not get in-game.
2. I'm looking for a game with active population as I want to play with people not with NPCs. otherwise, I'd be playing single-player RPGs.
3. Active economy is very important, where crafting is quite a necessity. I don't like getting items from the sky.
4. PvP is quite important too. I like PvP influenced by politics, if not that, I'd at least want massive PvP with something like castle sieges. The more PvP options - the better.
Games that I played and didn't like:
AION (because of cash shop)
Lineage 2 (click to move is not something I like)
Guild Wars (just not my style)
All suggestions are appreciated,
Kamur

Active subcription game with no cash shop, solid economy, meaningful crafting, and political PVP.
Closest I can think of is Darkfall.
Looks like what you're looking for is a time machine, so you can go back and visit 1999 and play UO
Seriously though.. while I too would like to play a game like you've described, sadly I don't think there are any left. Or if there are, they fall short in the gameplay. Seems we're a dying breed, and cash shops are here to stay. Along with shitty crafting systems and carebear PVP at best. F***ing Trammel...
Keep your eyes on Darkfall and Mortal Online. They are both complete peices of trash right now, but have a lot of potential in regards to what you wrote you're looking for.
Hum only one I can think of is Dark Age of Camelot. Older game but still know people playing and loving it.
Face of Mankind
This is a game strongly influenced by politics created by the player. Personally I never got into this, because it's so complicated it doesn't seem worth the time for me.
Some of the flaws of this game is its a very steep learning curve, hard to pick up at first and turns off a lot of people, witch is why it has low population.
There is, however, a lot of potentional i could see in the game, if they make the game easier to understand but keep the priniciple, then i could see this being a very sucsessful game.
I think you should check it out, and i hope this helped

Tbrown, Love me or die!
If I were you I would defindly watch out for Selam online (it's a full pvp, crafting and rp game)
And from your description you would LOVE it! when it comes out.
Else i would say mortal online like seen above, but I defintly say that selam is the game for you when it comes out.
Another game that might be worth mentioning could be Wurm Online
Everything is player made, weapon, tools, housing, the only "shop" there is, is the ability to buy ingame money from real money, but on the other hand, you can use ingame coins to pay2play.
You cannot buy equipment, tools or vanity stuff.
Pvp does exist on 1 server + will be on the new epic server which will open "soonish?" No eta as of yet. Pvp is quite relentless and features full body looting.
The game is relatively small with a small playerbase.
There are politics as their are 3 "factions" 2 good with 3 types of gods(you do not need to be a follower of a god) and an evil faction with 1 god.
Wurm is very slow, you cannot build a set of equipment and then go slaughtering. You need friends, towns to help you. There are no animations to most actions.
