How does auto spell work now that it is in the game? Is it basically a wand attack or what?

whenever you cast any spell,
your ranged wand will start doing auto attacks
if you have no ranged wand -- no effect
how do you tell if you have equipped a wand? it will have damage rating on it

for other players, youll find wands from quest rewards or mob drops

That is nice....what is the average delay between each wand attack....I guess what is the average wand speed. Thanks!

my older casters didnt even bother to find wands, but will equip one if the stats are comparable to nonwand range gear
gear stats matter more to me than wand dps stats

i would agree with that.....never really played a caster but have played a few healers. I can see it be useful for healers in a group, they can just auto wand between heals. Does this use mana as well and can healers do this or is it just pure casters?
If just casters then Necros and Conjies might find it more useful....but then again, stats....
its autoattack damage - no power is involved
wands are a perk for anyone who cannot use a ranged weapon
