Problem w/ Downloader

Tried to re-download the client for my son twice this weekend. Each time the download finishes and the install starts fine. A few minutes later I get a bluescreen and the system restarts. System is older but has run/installed client fine on two previous occasions. Anyone else have or had problems like this in the past? If so, is there a solution?
