MONO keep brought down!

MONEWSMONEWS Member Posts: 66

You read it here first MONO keep was brought down under the leadership of Aphilas and company.  Like every keep siege bugs and exploiting played it's parts.  I am just here to report the news.  That is all.

I would only like to add.  Since SV has openly said there are exploits and bugs too many to fix as of now.  Should they just turn of asset destruction?

Also with GMs helping some and not all should they just not help anyone??

default MONO keep siege

As many of you know the MONO north keep was recently brought down, here is the description of what took place from our end of things.

The palisade was infiltrated a while ago by unknown means, I will not speculate how the enemy troops got in, as there is no way to tell (no logs). They logged out inside and ran boulders in our off time freely comming and going as they please, palisade security has been talked about many times nothing to add here.

Fast forward to a few days before the siege, MONO even though small was well prepared to defend our keep, we ran supplies inside and prepared for the battle. That night the locked keep door was breached and enemies got inside killing and looting much of the supplies that were being stored. The GMs refused to do anything about the situation.

The day before the official siege the palisade was full of enemy troops, we had to fight into our own gate to retake it and with help from our friends we were able to do it. Once again we ran supplies in and made preparations and once again after most of our troops logged off the enemies breached the front gate through multiple logged out "nakeds" inside the palisade. They once again breached the locked front door of the keep by first killing one of the animals through the door and then opening the door itself. This event was frapsed from both sides of the door and shown to the GMs, they refused to do anything about it, even though it was clear that many of them tried to open it before they succeeded and reverted to slashing animals through the door. Our last chance for making proper preparations for a siege was lost.

The next day the official siege began, as the enemies dropped their first catapult one of our snipers took it out. They will say they catapult was bugged and they couldn't build it and maybe that was the case, but the GM spawned them a fully finished catapult instead of one in the construction phase or a deed and materials, thereby taking away our best chance of destroying it. Nice.

Even though the day before the enemies lost to an even number and screamed and raved about a zerg, this day they had brought in another two guilds and easily doubled their numbers, even with our friends we were badly outnumbered and were unable to take the palisade back to destroy the catapult on the ground.

The siege was taking a long time and the enemies decided they needed a second catapult, once again one of our snipers took it out when it was placed and once again the GM spawned them a fully finished one, taking that chance away from us as well. This now doubled the speed of the keeps destruction, at this point our repair team could not outrepair the damage done.

One of the GMs did do something for us though, we were told the door is locked and nobody should be able to go in. The enemies however did not know that a gm was watching the door and breached it once again when they got frustrated with the tiny group of workers and a few archers inside, this time they were ported out, no other punishment as far as we know. I believe this is called too little too late as at this point we had barely any troops, supplies or workers inside to make much of a difference in the outcome.

So there you have it, a small group of dedicated players worked very hard for months to build something in Nave, just to have it robbed from them in every possible way and from every possible direction. Most of it is still standing go take a look on a naked, it was going to be pretty amazing when the towers got finished. We are upset about it, yet not so much because it happened but because of how it happened. To all those that came and fought with us we say a big thank you, it was an honor and a pleasure to fight with you. Those that came to fight against us that we have done no harm too, congratulations on defeating one of the only blue guilds in the game and helping one of the worst griefer guilds take control of the central steppes, enjoy your new neighbors.

Many of us feel that a level of incompetence and favoritism shown in the situation by the game staff has been absolutely astounding.

Once again, thank you everyone that came to help us, I know some of you were enemies at one point and it impressed me personally very much to see you fight, bleed and die with us. Good luck to all of you.

Perhaps they should fix the problems rather  than adding to them?  SV keep pumping out more buggy crap which just adds to the already lengthy list of issues/exploits.

In a game such as this, I don't think I've ever seen the information reported by one side of a conflict end up being 100% accurate or objective.  It's unlikely that a singe source could ever provide accurate comprehensive information from such a large scale event.

Here's a response from the other side of the conflict for consideration:

You perfectly know how first person got inside pallisade. To my knowledge there was even vid of it. Your own guy opened the gate and let him in. We didn't ran any boulders except a day before the siege.

As you can find in recently locked thread on patriarch forums, Mauzi, who is one of the MONO leaders claims you are a group of 50 people.

This is your multiple nakeds, I'm glad this time you are not saying it was trial account fledglings like you did before on IRC:

We built the 1st shooting catapult ourselves. In fact, I built it myself.

This one we won, even if being slightly outnumbered.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_7Sp...eature=related

This one we lost because we were done with boulder hauling and there was 6 bored guys left.

On day of the siege we called only one guild to back up - ES. That was done because I had information at hand that WSX and BL will come to support you, making your side pretty much all of the WSX alliance. Mind you, I could have called numerous more guilds who were involved in both WSX sieges and who would be most interested in helping us in a fight against common enemy. I did not.

1st Catapult was destroyed because I couldn't build it due to my own mistake of bringing wrong materials.

2nd Catapult was successfuly built by me.

3d Catapult bugged at 95% HP and could not be completed.

4th Catapult bugged out immediatly after placing. After trying to build it for about 20 minutes it got shot down.

5th Catapult was placed by GMs, about 3-4 hours after 3d one bugged out.

To sum it up, we lost one catapult due to my stupidity, built one successfuly ourselves, lost 2 due to bugs and recieved one by GMs which resulted in us having 2 catapults, 2nd one being about 3-4 hours late due to bugs.

About your repairers - tell me, how your keep was down to 10 million hp from 16 million at the point of second effective catapult being placed if you were able to outrepair the first catapult.

To sum it up - Bring more facts, less false information and lies. Other than that - I am sorry for your loss. I know how much you invested into that pallisade. But as with everything, one must ensure his investments are safe. In MOs case it would mean you are able to defend your assets. You still have one keep left and I do hope you will cope with your current losses and bring good fights to us in the future.

It seems the hitbox on the catapult is bugged or something.  The guy could not score a hit on it from many different angles.

@Rohn there was clearly exploits being used by some.  There are clearly lots of bugs.  Do you think asset destruction should be turned off until those are fixed?

That thread is hilarious. I almost find myself agreeing with the guy who threatens to sue SV.

I mean, people are supposed to engage in guild warfare (MO's only real "feature"), but the game is so bugged and the staff so corrupt that "sieges" are determined by which side has the most active exploiters, and which side the GMs happen to favor. The devs are so clueless and short of manpower that they officially state that exploiting is ok, making all assets free targets for anyone who knows the exploits (i.e. 90% of the server).

All this in a FFA, full loot PvP game where it takes a huge amount of boring grind to construct assets that are supposed to bring you some relative security. Now, sanctioned by SV, the griefer guilds can just loot and destroy anything they want using means that would mean perma-ban in any professionally maintained MMO. They might even get some GM assistance while at it, and brag about it on the forums.

It's a sad joke really. With TC coming up, who knows where this will end - does anyone still believe that it will not make matters 10 times worse?

Aphilas used to be a GM himself in MO.

Not the first time or first game Aphilas forms a zerg while wearing white knight armor. Not the first time he'll get slapped around with it. Then the time of assigning weak leaders will come, pretending not playing the game and other crap. Ohh, and obviously quiting because game is ***.

Better luck in the next game Aphilas. No worries... we'll find you. ;)

Wow Kubascrub was a councilor??  He also used bugged weapons and exploited into houses.  I think he used about every new exploit a patch would produce.

Glad to see SV vets their councilor pics wells.
