Listen....I played Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne before WoW and even I think it's stupid.  Just because a race is IN a games' lore doesn't mean it should be made a PLAYABLE race.  In my opinion, this is the most juvenile looking thing (besides sparkle ponies) that Blizzard has done to WoW.  I hope, for their sake, that it's as SUCCESSFUL as sparkle ponies, but I think it's just idiotic looking.

My opinion doesn't actually count, however, since I quit playing WoW in February of this year.  I'm done with Blizzard, so....I can think what I think, but I have no "paying vote" anymore.  I already voted with my wallet when I left.

Blizz never hit 13 million players with the US market, they hit it with the oriental market. Clearly moneywise it's the oriental market that has most customers. So it makes sense that they make an expansion to catter specifially for them. I mean the theme is chinese letters in the background, pokemon pet mini game, etc... The US players just got the short end of the stick on this one. Blizz is doing this expansion because they know it will bring in loads of money, Im sure of it as well. This is not a bad move from blizz and for every 1 customer they lose in the US, they will get 3 in the east.

This just proves that WoW is a game for children. If you enjoy playing a childrens game, more power to you.

    Please elaborate - I mean, I can't see what people have against panda's o.O?...

Its not like there's already Wolf men, Walking cows, as well as goats in the game as it is, so why not panda's ?

I don't see why panda's are anymore childish than elves, or tauren for that matter. (if that is the case for you)

Personally I think the bears from Auberdine would have been a better choice then pandas.

Auberdine is the first town you come to thats located in Darkshore from Teldrassil in the Nightelf Encamptment.

Pandas?? lol, even when they had pandas in W3, Pandas?? and even worse a, Kun-fu Panda??, wtf blizz? i guess they just want to make a game for kids or something like that, i just cant imagine the mature populataion playing a MMO full of ¨Kun-fu Pandas¨.  IT looks like they want  the people playing swtor and not wow. I mean if the people have to choose between and Trooper with a minigun, explosives and grenades or a Kunfu Panda, what do you think they will choose?, at least ur a kid or a fan of the disney Movie, then the answer will be ¨a panda.

well i mean the "mature" wow population hasnt had any trouble playing gnomes, dwarves or any other goofy thing thats made its way in to wow... True fans of blizz and WC knew Pandaren were just a matter of time.

"True fans of Blizz"??? Please, give me a break! I'm playing Blizzs games since when you still where in diapers, in WoW since 2005 and i never saw this one coming. Yes, the pandaren made a short appearance in the RTS Warcraft as an insignificant non playable race but from this point up until introducing them as the new race in WoW's final expansion as Kung fu pandas is a freaking long way to go.

As for dwarfs, gnomes, elves, trolls, etc these all are well established races in western rpg's. You should try some of these games as it's clear that you are under the impression that the rpg genre was invented by Blizzard with WoW.

I have no idea what went through blizzards mind but I am sure it had something to do with some bad mu shu pork or something.

Panda's? Are you kidding me .. and the racial stat bounuses .... damm they could kill any 1st level toon hands down ...

Then they add in a Pet collecting game .. Welcome to Pokemon on line ... and you want me to pay money for this????

Blizzard if you are worried about SWTOR or Guild wars .. Don't .. You have far more to fear from your developers who shall kill the game for you .....

This is so very Very SAD

Keeping pushing the hate people, i'm sure one day your claims of Blizzard failing will finally come true and you'll be able to finally feel good in your life lol

My wife and I played WoW since  a month after launch up until about nine months ago. We loved it, and have nothing negative to say about it.  So that is why this thread caught my eye.

I'm sitting here reading some of these responses to her and she's laughing.

We're pretty much in aggreance that most of the people complaining will, at some point, go and buy MoP.  xD

Glad, I quit after I got my pvp gear for my warrior and hunte

Since all the level 85 purple gear will be obsolete at launch.

On a note though, I was playing with friends ( and enjoying the game before cata) but the c
ata dynamic and level bump #$%&ed everything up.

I seriously doubt it not after this .Not this time . The game has gone too far down hill and this is the last straw for many people .

I am a non stop subscriber since early December of 2005. I am switching to SW TOR on Dec 20 but my intention was to keep my WoW account active for the sole reason to see and experience the games final expansion. Not any more, and i say this with a heavy hard. WoW had and still has his drawbacks but it definitely is the absolute best themepark MMO out there. I expected much more from Blizzard believing that they would give us a final expac worthy of the games phenomenal succes over the past 7 years. MoP fails to deliver that on so many levels and this is not an opinion expressed by a handfull of people. The guild i am in is a multinational one with close to 500 members. A brief sweep on our forums showed me that the majority of them are bumed with what they are learning about MoP and their comments are anything than positive. We are already planning to move en masse to TOR and this applies to a number of other guilds i'm awere of.

So playing as a female  Twi'lek makes u more mature?

  • PaleBoyPaleBoy Member Posts: 1

*I tried to paste some images but it didnt work, it was a pic from the trailor compared to a pic from kung fu panda, that lookd almost identical.*

I quess after all the wow clones...wow has finally run out of ideas and has to start cloning themselves.

I say this as a old vet of warcraft, i played war3 before wow was ever thought about being made. I know the old lore, and still i think this is an aweful idea.

After all the angst, rage and threats of quitting, anyone who actually plays WOW  will buy the xpac and let their  rage build for what ever Blizz has planned for the future. Those that dont play but act upset will continue to entertain the forum goers with their insight. We now have a Panda in the circus side show.

Really? This game sucks and Im not having fun? Im going to unsub right now. Thanks for the tip.

  • Lovely_LalyLovely_Laly Member UncommonPosts: 734

Bought Cataclysm, did very wrong IMO, so no way to buy Panda. =XD

Lets look how it goes before all, then decide if we gonna play it or better pick up new game.

try before buy, even if it's a game to avoid bad surprises.
