This is not a post to argue for or against the game, more so to inform everyone of the return of a community service, even though I am about to stress my opinion in one way or another.  Simply put I was in the same situation many of you were before, and there was still just as much opposition to the game as there seems to be now.  Everywhere, and in particular on these forums, darkfall enthusiasts were referred to blatantly as 'fanbois' when in reality they just loved the game.  Being absolutely tired of WoW at the time, I debated and decided to try darkfall, and even though it took some effort to adjust to -- especially with the negative conotation that some naturally feel an urge to share with others -- I stuck with it.  That was 2 years ago.

The ONLY reason I love this game is ultimately because of the people I have met and played with, and continue to play with to date.  The first day in game I had the privalege to join a clan formed by members of the community that wanted to help players acclimate themselves to a hostile environment.  I thought at first 'carebear', 'weak', etc but decided to do it since I already had tons of questions running through my head about the game.  I thought wrong, way wrong, and the last thing they did was hold my hand.  I learned so much simply just from being around players my 'level' and from simply just being able to listen to experienced players chat in ventrilo.  But enough about my own experience, as I just needed enough to explain why I'm writing this in the first place.

 

So on to the subject, NEW is back:

I simply wanted to offer anyone who has thought about starting, or has thought about giving the game a second, third, etc. try, the same opportunity that was given to me 2 years ago.   I and many others are back on the NEW project and we are looking forward to meeting new people and teaching them anything that is teachable, and would like to correctly present mechanics and information to you along with PvP acclimation and training from some of the best players to date. 

I have seen loads of players who had tried this game multiple times before only to find themselves quitting before really giving it a chance, eventually find there way to NEW.  Every single one of those players graduated from NEW (4 weeks back then) and I still see the majority of them today in game, with the same people that they started playing the game with upon joining NEW.  I for one have a core group of 3-4 players that I have been with for 2 years and wouldn't want to siege or really fight alongside anyone else if given the option, and we all met through NEW by joining during the same week

 

We welcome all players, new and returning.

 

So if you feel like trying it and would like to see what has caused many other players to fall in love with the game take advantage of our community just contact any of the following in game, or simply apply to NEW (not NEW ACADEMY, think of that as our military ).

We are far from carebear and to date a majority of the top PVP players have graduated from NEW.  Give darkfall a try in combination with NEW, I've been lurking on these forums for years and finally made an account simply to post about our personal urge to serve you and we doubt you will regret it if you take advantage
