Moving on to your rebuttal of point #2
You didn't dispute my claim that there's a lot of stuff for people to do now.
Point #3 and the probable motivation for you jumping in on this convo in the first place.
Your beloved SWTOR is still going to have a heck of a time updating new content like Rift.  Your rebuttal there did nothing to refute what I said.  As for the content SWTOR will have at launch and the quality of it, I have no idea.  But nor was any of that in my statement now was it? :)

I was at Rift's launch. I was in the betas. I agree it was the most polished game I had played to date.

Honestly, based on what was actually in the game though it ought to be. They spent five years making it, only had two starting zones, a tiny world to use and a bunch of hub quests. I don't know how anyone can mess that up with 50 million dollars.

Again, Rift puts things in their game that are almost like Diet Content compared to most other games. It's plentiful but it's easy stuff and you can't help but hit max fast without even trying.

Example: World Event #1. Final Stage lasted.. one hour. If you didn't get to log in (which many didn't) you didn't even SEE the event.

World Event #2. Better, but still lacking. Get a few quests in town that take 10 minutes to do every day. Snore.

World Event #3. Better, but still lacking. Get a few quests in town that take 10 minutes to do all of them everyday. Snore.

Every world event since, all the same way. Start out with three or four boring quests that you are tired on in one week, but you have to keep doing for three or four weeks until your eyes bleed, because Trion isn't finished with the next phase yet. Water event, Death event, Fire event, it's all the same stuff basically.

Of course I "didn't dispute your claim" that there isn't a "lot" of stuff to do in Rift. I said if someone was starting now, they would have plenty to do before getting bored, unless they just don't like the "feel" of the game which many people complained about. But for someone who played since Launch up until now, it's simply boring because all you do is PA and the same old stuff you've been doing. The PvP is still FOTM so people get tired of the no consequence PvP action. New players will have lots of things to grind now because there are like.. one thousand different types of currency in this game now. If people like WOW type rep grindage for coins/tokens, etc, then this game will keep them very busy.

A "smooth launch" is old news. This game is eight months from that. Who cares what they did eight months ago, lol? Right now, everything Trion is releasing in this game is buggy, broken or requiring so much "Hey Folks, were' going to take the servers down for 30 mins..." or some other hotfix that it's about as reliable as AoC is. No better, no worse. Doesn't matter if 'sites like this one' said great things about launch. They said great things about Warhammer here too daily, and look how that turned out.

I fear that Trion will get brought up by the big boys, like Blizzard did. Trion following in daddy's footsteps
