I wonder how many subs Blizzard have lost since the news about the Mists of Pandaria

I wonder how many readers you lost with that wall of text!

As for Blizzard, I remember reading that they were already on the decline. This Panda stuff, as well as their irritating cash shops, will only add to it. Blizzard didn't pull a "Netflix". However, I certainly think they tilted the scale backwards.

  • I am interested in MoP...I might consider giving it a shot...but I didn't even try Cata.  Don't think I missed out on much.

Box Sales show the opposite, evey expansion has sold more boxes in the first month than the previous.

But what do they care, they are still getting bucket loads of cash and will continue to due so no matter what new MMO comes out which is unfortunate as this is what is leading them to their half hearted developements.

I am so glad I no longer play but a game cannot last forever and I wonder how long a life this game has left.

As for the OP's so called question.

No a flying fat f***k of an idea... But i'l bet you a silver dollar that it is far less then you think and that there are way more people liking the idea then you like to admit. But go ahead and do what ever you do... It's a almost free forum.

Going on that post, your sig is rather amusing.

I have seen a lot of these posts coming up on websites. I have played WoW for about 6 yrs myself. The last few months I have been on for a while did a few guild things and dailies. I have been deciding on whether to continue until GW2 comes out. The announcement of Pandas and the talent rebuild (yet again) was enough to help my descision. I not only cancelled my sub. I decided to make a break from WoW all together and deleted my toons also. If your going to leave and want to make a statement then leave for good and leave nothing behind. I went to Rift since they finally got the game optimized. It has been a blast and I see hundreds of ex-WoWites there every day it seems lately.

Strangely enough, on the Blizzard forums, there are mostly discussions of the Monk class, the new talent system and the zones, not complaints about Pandas. Discussions on the Panderans center around why they can be Warlocks and not Druids. Whether or not they should exist is simply accepted by the people who actually pay for the game. People may not believe this, but one of the most requested things for WoW ever is Pandas. Kung Fu Pandas. Really.

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

I doubt they'll lose a significant number of subs, this expansion is clearly aimed at a younger average demographic than previous instalments.

This of course does'nt bode well for an already horrid community!!

Surely you can't be serious.  Good news is that they can un-delete your toons when you're ready to return.

Why wonder how much they have lost? Why not wonder how much they have gained? Either way it would be a guess based on nothing but positive or negative personal reaction.

WoW will remain very profitable after the xpac. A few loud, personally hurt (get help please) grains of sand makes no difference to a whole desert.

"Oh no, more content for a game I play was announced? I guess I better quit!"

Using LOL is like saying "my argument sucks but I still want to disagree".

If you cancelled over this, you were done with WOW already and searching for any excuse to quit.

While I make no hesitation in saying the new expansion is rather disapointing to me (even if its for dfiferent reasons then most), I'd say that they did lose a few subscriptions, but most are likely just those who happen to have a subscription open and just haven't been playing anyways. I'd likely believe that with the Diablo 3 1 year subscription deal they probably will lose about as many as they gain and it probably won't be noticable.

Am not starting a discussion, if you wanna discuss, go ahead! I'm just asking what motivate people to ask questions with no answers. Because half the post nowdays are these half-way estimates on different topics. like "how many quit?" "is red really red or is it green in disguise?" "If i were a turtle i would ..."

Kids usually talk nonsens like this.

    I

Hmm I dont know about kids but I think you are a little confused. The first question can be easily answered and Blizz have all the data as for the second it is a valid philosophical (psychological) question that is old and sadly still unanswered. The third is a little odd I confess but  ... are you sure that you are competent enough to validate the OPs questions?

    cheers
