I totally forgot about Final Fantasy Tactics. I'm torn between that and XCOM. I really wish people would make more FFT type games and just replace the characters with others like maybe Marvel or DC or whatever.

Agreed completely. That type of gameplay is the best.
4. Romance of the Three Kingdoms, starting at NES and up to RotTK11
5. Money Puzzle Exchanger(mame)
I sure dated myself on this list, haha. But I was going off it meaning any game and not just MMOs and my career started a long time ago. I could be off on all this but I tried to pick old time favorites that I recall spending lots of time on.
I gotta say Chrono Trigger. It was the first game I played with a new game plus feature. I must have played through 20-30 times, easily. The additional content for the DS version was freaking awesome as well.
Reason i got into online was unreal 98 then became ut99,it was during that time a female friend told me i needed to try EQ.I was not overly intrigued by EQ it was different to me for sure but i always went back everyday to UT99.It wasn't until FFXI came along that i took mmorpg's more serious and devoted any time to them.
I still play ut99 but not as much anymore the community has died out, still cheats running around, but it remains easily my most favourite game of all time.
I have actually been working on my own game using the unreal editor,it is a decent size now,no other game has ever offered me the over all value of UT99.
I know another great game is about to come out soon,i feel it in my bones and the timing is right.I kind of feel it might be Archeage, but not crossing my fingers yet,idk perhaps a new Quake game is due to come out soon?
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
World of Warcraft definitely was tied for first with more than few other games for me. The problems with WOW now though are too much to forgive. You have a community that has no incentive to quest together and don't want to. You didn't see WOW make professions require you to go back to old areas to farm stuff for newer plans in new expansions. They have done nothing to encourage healthy gaming. WOW was fun but it has never grown. It has regressed. Why pay $15 per month for a dungeon crawler ? That is basically what that game is now.
As for other games I put in a tie with this game for me ....
Megaman (early games)
Tecmo Super Bowl
Double Dragon
HL2
Cold Fear (I really did enjoy it but man the buggy combat. I wish we could see a remake or a totally new game.)
EA NHL on Sega
Final Fantasy (earlier games)
Dragon Warrior
Legendary Wings
I don't like being locked into a favourite game of all time cuz there are so many different types of games that offer different things.

Fallout 2 - hands down.
Too bad that Fallout 3 is diffrent type of game and don't even come close to Fallout 2 in terms of immersiveness, gameplay, etc
Agreed completely. That type of gameplay is the best.

I can't really pick one from the series so I'm just gonna say the entire Zelda series.

UDK 3rd person action game camera tutorial
Alpha Centauri, the best Civ game ever.
Shout out to Morrowind though......
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.
1) FINAL FANTASY 7
2)Elder Scrolls Morrowind
3)Operation Flashpoint (the first one)
4)Age of Conan
Set ( Neocron, KOTOR ! & 2, Planescape Torment, Jade Cocoon, Final Fantasy VII & IX, Metal Gear Solid, Driver (PSX), GTA San Andreas, ...)
There are too many great games out there to have a single favourite. I've surely forgotten many great games in that set.
Command & Conquer: Red Alert
