WoW's been for years on the top of all montly subscribtion P2P MMORPGs (15/month), but is it really that? As far as I know more than 60% players are from asia region (mostly China) and there's different payment system and different pricepoint.
Does anyone know what's average monthly payment for the game in china? I doubt it's somewhere close to standart 15/month sub.
I'm sure 10 mill subs does NOT equal 150mill/month and then this game actually doesn't belong to category of 15/moth P2P
I'd be thankful for any info or thoughts about that.

Asia pays either by the minute or the hour (my bets are on hour), so they may not pay $15 a month, but it depends on the person. To blizzard, a subscription is someone who has paid for time in the last 30 days. So if I'm in china and I buy 72 hours of played time on Jan 1, and I use it all by Jan 15, I'm still considered a subscriber on Jan 20, all the way to Jan 31.
It is all comparable really, if you take someone on an average wage of say $1700/month in the states paying $15/month for a sub, well that is less than 1% of their salary, but in comparison somone in china playing for 50hrs/month would pay at a guess $3 @ 6c/hr but with an average wage of maybe $125/month instead that is 2.4% of their salary.
In physical money terms we probably pay more, but In comparable terms a hardcore wow player in china would be paying more than a person in the US or Europe.
It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.
