Hi guys i have a question,i need to buy new power supply (850-1000 w) i found on a shop the power supply of ANTEC.

so my question is the company ANTEC is good as  COOL MASTER?

i need a new power supply because i buy  the new 6990 4gb so i need a good power without any surprise

    It's not just the brand name.  Antec power supplies range from all right to really great, while Cooler Master power supplies range from awful to pretty good.

    What motherboard do you have, and what case?  There are few people for whom a Radeon HD 6990 makes sense.  Most cases can't properly accommodate one, either.  If you're not gaming at a resolution higher than 1920x1200, try a Radeon HD 6970 instead.  If you are using a very high resolution, then a large majority of gamers would be better off with two Radeon HD 6970s in CrossFire than a single Radeon HD 6990.  The 6990 is really only for when two 6970s in CrossFire isn't good enough, as two 6990s gets you four GPUs.

    Note also that AMD's next generation of cards is probably coming early next year, so a 6970 or 6990 could be obsolete sooner rather than later.

    HI guys,i have a full tower of enermax and i dont think i have a problem with space my old card was  8800ultra and was so big (hope that 6990 will be the same dimension)

    after i seach a bit on web i think i will buy coolmaster cause have s80 certificate GOLD (antec have bronze) and have more amper then antec and is modular.

    i ask if antec are good because here on my town i never see it so for me was new and didnt know if is better then CM or Corsair etc.

    i think antec are good but not for extreme or im wrong?

    i take 6990 cause its a gift :D

    Yes antec are good, their PSU's aimed at gamers are solid. Antec PSU you want is called the Gamer series.  The Antec Gamer  620watt will handle your 6990.

    are u sure 620w? from site raccomender is 700w at 80% of power...
