Just when I thought it couldn't get worse...
Out of the nine total dungeons planned in the initial release of World of? Warcraft's fourth expansion, Mists of Pandaria, the last of which is the Stormstout Brewery...? and his brewery has been overrun by the Verming and Hozu.
Or overrun with rabbits and monkeys. Really? The best thing they could come up with for the top dungeon in initial MoP is rabbits and monkeys.
Are you freaking kidding me, the mortal enemies of the pandas are rabbits and monkeys.
Now this couldn't have anything to do with the law in china that animals can't be portrayed as dominant over humans, nah!

Seriously? Link? Not that I would be surprised. Vanilla WoW vet here ,and with over the years the game has been dumbed so far down that a six year old can play. CAta was the straw that broke the camels back, and I have the feeling Panda mania will take WoW 6 feet under.

Needs more Pikachus.
Guess it cant get any worse...."Dont eat the brown jelly beans young panda. Its Verming trickery."
Rabbits? Oh God...
Verming are the new "kobolts", hardly meant to be the mortal enemy of anything.
Other than maybe carrots . . .
There is no mortal enemy to the Panderas, the xpac isn't about the big bad guy we all have to take down. There is no single enemy type or person.
I see no issue with rabbits or monkeys or any other form of cute animal. It's fitting to the philosophy of the xpac after all. If you want another xpac with more undead *seriously how much undead do you want* that is fine.
I dislike overly cute things, but that is not how i see this xpac. It's stylized and based on a funny idea.
Just my two cents of course.
I've said it before, I'll say it again, the average MMO player is too cynical and jaded to take this expac seriously. After some really cool story lines, they brought in kung fu panda.....yeah. Well at least they have the furry market locked down. ZING!
I'm not sure who's idea it was to do it this way, but I can honestly say they may very well be out of a job if this expac doesn't pull a miracle out of it's hat.
With the SWTOR NDA lifted, and another beta test weekend coming next week (I CAN'T wait!!!!) people seem to be geared up for this new player at the table.
Having played both the SWTOR and WoW betas, like SOE should have been worried then Blizzard should be worried now. The game does what WoW does right and expands on it. The character story line draws me in, as opposed to being just another number in WoW. Furthermore, EA/Bioware has planned for many, MANY other planets for expansions. They're looking ahead 10-15 years, so they're at least trying to plan, more than I can say for over 90% of the companies out there now.
Is it absolutely perfect? NO game is. Is it a sandbox? Nope, sorry SWG fans. But what it does do, it does AWESOMELY!! The last time I had this much fun during a stress test it was during the WoW stress test and we know how that went over the years.
Me thinks it's time to pass the crown.
Rabbits can be pretty nasty. Never seen Watership Down, brah?
My brand new bloggity blog.
You messed up, Stormstout Brewery is not the last of all 9 dungeons, it is only that last to be detailed in a video of the 3 dungeons they revealed. They still have 3 dungeons that we know nothing about. That being said, I have zero problem with 1 dungeon being a more light hearted dungeon. Verming are similar to Kobold, and Hozu are a neutral faction similar to Wolvar and Gorloc in Wrath.
If you have done a little research you would know the Mogu (based off chinese guardian lions) are the biggest mortal enemy of the Pandaren. Which likely the last 3 dungeons will be about.

Oh god, that movie traumatized me when I saw it as a child.
But I really doubt that the rabbit people in WoW will be anywhere near that serious and scary. The more I hear about MoP, the more I can't help but laugh and shake my head at how ridiculous WoW has become. Yeah, WoW's always had a lighthearted streak, but it feels like the game is going from an ESRB T rating to an E rating.
Either way, MoP gave me reason enough to never want to touch WoW again.
So I take it you're not going to play then?
I liked the music ;D.
Just seems like the whole expansion is meant to be a "comical relief". A bit too much of it to my taste but that's me.

Among those who dislike oppression are many who like to oppress.
I liked the music as well. Still, AoC has the best music I have ever heard in a MMO.
Wonder why people torture themselves over a game they dislike. Anytime i get tired of a game i don't pay attention to it anymore, but its like people need to cling on to something for that rage fix lol.

Oh and i can't wait to try out this new xpac, after all the grim story lines from the last xpacs i think i'll enjoy this more light hearted fun xpac. plus monks for the win.
not that i put a lot of time into games anymore, but i'm actually really wanting to check this one out.

Okay, I want to play a Verming...
I miss the MMORPG genre. Will a developer ever make one again?

I've not heard this about it but I did read a preview of MOP . The reporter didn't sound very impressed at all . MOP sounds incredibly bland . I can't even see fanboys being that excited about this expansion even though theres a few that seem to be trying to talk it up I suspect in private they are thinking the same as the rest of us .
I cant find a good enough video but the only rabbit I have ever been afraid of is Pookie in Asherons call! /thread.
