Something along the lines of Battlefield 1942..

I'm looking for a type of FPSMMO.. I'd like something that isn't constantly running around with a gun but actually has vehicles as well. I absolutely loved Battlefield 1942 years ago. I've played many of the newer Battlefields but they just don't seem to click like that one did.

I know there is World War 2 online, and I've played it along time ago. I remember hardly ever being able to find people to battle. Driving around or running around for what seemed like forever to find someone. Plus it's pay to play and I just can't bring myself to pay for something so outdated.

I've considered getting Battlefield 3 but being a family man there are more important things to spend money on at the moment than a game for myself. Especially with christmas right around the corner.

So basically, yeah, old school battlefield gameplay. Classes to choose from in the game would be great as well. Gaining experience and being able to level. Fair gameplay/match making. I loved WoT but got annoyed with their match making and there was only tanks, which get's stale rather quickly.

F2P would be great as well. Any suggestions?
