I think an Ogre as a playable race would have been a MUCH better choice.

What does this have to do with WoW again? I thought that was made by Blizzard? Ooooohh I see! You're trying to covertly bait WoW players into a flame war....shame on you.

This topic is a clear baiting for just starting a flame war. Don't fall for it people!!!!!!

Oh, look, someone mentions Kung Fu Panda again. Very original, OP!

The original Panderan had NO Kung Fu, Chen sprayed alcohol from the keg under his arm and set npcs on fire.

So these new pandas, look like the panderan and act like Po.

FYI the panda idea for WoW was thought way before KUNG FU PANDA came out or was thought of.... that is all enjoy the coming flame war.

And even better, panda and ogres in the same xpac, one race for horde, the other for alliance, and the back story after 'discovery' after 10,000 years is that they were at war with each other.

It's still weaksauce but still 100 times better than the sauce in the real xpac.

The problem for me in general is that I don't think that Tolkein ever typed the word panda. And if you are wondering what Tolkein has to do with Warcraft... All High Fantasy came from that well, Tolkein invented the Orc.

Pandas are just so jarring to the genre for me.

Pandas are just so jarring to the genre for me.

So, pandas put you over the edge, but the following didn't?

Tauren - Big walking cows with hands instead of hooves!

Draenai - Blue space goats - again with hands!

    Worgen - Werewolves

Also, what about past games?  EQ/EQ2 has frogs, cats, and lizards...

Pandas, though, are so much worse, right?

Edit: My bad, I should have checked your post history before bringing up a logical argument.  Now I see that a full 100% of your posts complain about / rag on / or put down WoW, so I doubt this post will go anywhere.

Yeah you must have ignored the one where I said I played the game continuously for 6 1/2 years and loved it.

And I am just talking about WoW not EQ, and yes tauren were weird from the start, and worgen are OKish, I never considered them werewolves and thought that was a stretch.

But this is about nothing but pandas, not even about panderan as much as back filling a story and now they are kung fu masters. Yes it is jarring, all the more because there is nothing to take the focus off of them.

Players at blizzcon said when they played the demo it was just rolling pandas all over the place. It's a farce.

Sam and Frodo after killing the balrog Illidan, saved the world from the once good, but now evil Arthas who wanted domination over the world.

On the way home, they killed Smaug's son Deathwing. Then just before reaching the shire they ran into a bunch of Kung Fu Pandas.

Sam and Frodo hung themselves from the great party tree. The end.
